Yeah exactly. This card will last more than two years anyway, certainly for my light use anyway. I’ve got the PS5 for raytracing etc

To be honest, I been looking at 5700xt for some time and I throught this would help some one out. People who will wait for a better price should. People who think this is outrages shold also wait... I on the other hand wanted a decent card to play some games now that I'm stuck at home and this if I get it would serve me fine for couple of years .

People forget too quickly, but if you need or want, then there isn't much you can do

I got an order in yesterday. Didn’t post it because I thought I’d get flamed (and not in the good “heat” way!). I even got it on the pay monthly five month thing so I think overall that’s a good deal. I just hope they get stock soon.

I was in for one of these cards on the recent pcworld deal at £330 to replace my Vega 56 ( undervolted and memory clocked) Then I realized that I was only going to gain about 15%. I changed my mind , I’m waiting for the current gen cards to become widely available and hope in 6 months to get a deal.

I know it is RDNA1, I know the drivers are not the best (to say the least), but this model along with the Red Devil are considered top of the line if you decide to buy a 5700xt. C… Read more

The gigabyte actually performed amongst the best for thermals and noise in 5700xt. So much nonsense talked about brands on here.

Jammy git (lol) I was too busy umming and arrring and watching review videos.

At the time of posting they were in stock online, mines arriving tomorrow :)

Its sold out if u look for the deal posted for it. I missed out on it

Where??? I think I have check all postcodes and can't find it for collection.

Gigabyte Radeon RX 5700 XT - £330 @ Currys PC World

Good price for one of the best AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT cards available. Still great card for anyone gaming on 1080p who doesn't need the latest and greatest.

I installed card today and codes where fine. Redeemed and installed (y)

Not yet installed mine. I hope the codes work. Do they have to honour them

Attempted to redeem mine, but it had already been used :( Spoke to AMDRewards support who confirmed it had been used on the 24th by another user, to speak to the retailer to get a new code. Can I find anyone at Currys who has any idea about AMDRewards? Of course not. Went through webchat queue for a few hours and got dropped from the chat twice when I finally reached the end, the third time they said I'd have to call. So after trying a few different extension combinations I finally spoke to someone who couldn't find any information and suggested I talk to the web team. She also suggested I call the number on the AMDRewards email, but it's disconnected (or at least when I call it, it says it's an invalid number). I don't suppose anyone has the same issue, and managed to resolve it?

Does anyone have any benchmarks with this card? How is it running at 1440p high settings?

I tried Ghost Recon Wildlands on it last night for about an hour on ultra settings @ 1440p. GPU temp went to 70c, junction temp 80c and hot spot temp 89c. Still not bad if AMD are saying that 110c temps are within spec, but I'd prefer lower temps. Average usage of the 4690k (stock) in all that time was 58%. Looks like this CPU is not bottlenecking the card as much as I thought it would.

seems a good price

It'll be an absolute miracle if they have anything even close though? That coming from one of the biggest AMD fans out there!!!

No problem. I had never looked at it before but I am surprised at the price. I expected the US price to translate to £499. I think AMD will have to respond with some info soon too.

Great, cheers, I just registered interest there. Nvidia site is very reasonable for GPU pricing? Not somewhereI would have ever thought of looking? Thanks agin. Exciting times ahead!! ;-p

No yet you you can sign up to be notified. Overclockers UK have some of the partner boards on the site too and they are pretty good prices too but you can't order those yet either.

Are they really? I think I'll have a look now and get a pre-order in. Are they taking orders do you know yet? Buy now before the £ gets any weaker!! ;-p

Found a cheaper source of this as compared to another deal posted on here

Red Dragon is also £339 at eBuyer

Something to consider is that CCL participate within the AMD Raise the Game offer, so you'll get codes for Godlike and Warhammer Shadowlands. The bundle is a ~£50 freebie, which Amazon do not offer. Personally, I'd go for the Red Dragon at CCL for an extra tenner over Amazon, and bag the free games.

I perfectly understand the basics of business and economy of scale so spare me the model explanations. Nvidia's r&d budget is substantial and is still growing (nothing in comparison to Intel though) but i can bet, despite most revenue from gaming, majority of the cash is being spend elsewhere, not on consumer GPUs dept. They have huge plans and they don't want to be known as gpu card maker only. Leather jackets ego is bigger than that. They also need tons of cash for acquisitions (think Melanox and now Arm) so if you think that majority of cash that is being spend on overpriced graphics cards funds the future gaming products, you are wrong.

You can't use an entire console to make your point as they are selling them at a loss. Profits aside I still think you don't understand the complexities involved in creating a graphics card. The amount of R&D, the physical effort to turn raw silicon into a final working product is very involved and the yields aren't perfect. Even if they were how could they reduce the cost of the card? They need to pay for all the equipment, testing, delivery chain etc... I don't think you understand basic business economies either... The reason why you haven't seen a better next gen card yet is the technology is at it's peak due to the laws of physics. To make the transistors in circuit any smaller is not possible with today's technology as they are already an atom apart, no one has a working solution to make sub atom sized transistors. You can stack layers, but the heat generated causes issues with silicon and can cause signal delays. Here's some food for thought, if you bought the transistors for a penny each and you had the time & effort to build a circuit with them it would cost £100,000,000 in just the transistors alone, apply that same logic to an Intel i7 processor and it would cost £3,000,000 in just transistors..

yes, yes, gpu can be powerful and complex in design and manufacturing, the issue is that even rtx 2080ti could have been in stores for less than £500 and nvidia as well as the vendors would still make money out of it. The yields aren't low at all ( very mature 12nm process) and yet, this would more of a problem to the fab than nvidia, TSMC have it covered, they know what they are doing. The guy in the leather jacket was justifying the last price hike with ray tracing and dlss, It's 2 years now since the 'revolution', new gen on the horizon, yet i still don't see any significant movement. If PlayStation or Xbox , the entire system, can be produced for 400-450 usd, how much gpu on its own could cost to make? So yes,I will maintain my opinion that the current prices of gpus are silly and people happily paying those prices are delusional if they are trying to justify the cost. Nothing make graphics cards so expensive but pure greed and opportunity created by paying customers.

they have 'forgotten' to mention RMA rate of kfa2 rtx 2070 oc (13%) which is as bad as power color red devil rx 5700.

Int Interesting article. Didn't realise that PowerColor and Sapphire has such high sales
