Amazon returns

Posted 30th Jul 2023
We have 2 things that need to go back because the person we bought them for doesn't want them, one we already have but one item is coming today, can I just ask the delivery person to send it back (refuse delivery) and I will get a refund or should I take it in and do 2 returns? We don't send much stuff back to Amazon and it won't be used, niche items so not worth selling either.

    go to the app.

you may still be able to cancel it

I have done this before for items due for delivery the next day and amazon would not let me cancel, BUT on the day of delivery, using the order tracking section of the app, I was able to cancel.

Sunday delivery? Presumably Amazon courier so:
If your order dispatched directly from Amazon and can't be modified, you may refuse the package

Ah, it's dispatched from Amazon but sold by someone else.
Do you know if we have to pay return postage if I say it's "no longer needed" or a "mistake purchase" for return reason?
