We have 2 things that need to go back because the person we bought them for doesn't want them, one we already have but one item is coming today, can I just ask the delivery person to send it back (refuse delivery) and I will get a refund or should I take it in and do 2 returns? We don't send much stuff back to Amazon and it won't be used, niche items so not worth selling either.

I have done this before for items due for delivery the next day and amazon would not let me cancel, BUT on the day of delivery, using the order tracking section of the app, I was able to cancel.
Do you know if we have to pay return postage if I say it's "no longer needed" or a "mistake purchase" for return reason?
