Manchester Airport Car Parking - help please

Posted 7th Aug 2023
Hi Guys.

Just after abit of advice please regarding car parking at Manchester airport - and what options are best available…

Next Friday (friday 18th August at 9am), we are visiting friends for the weekend in Jersey, we are back home Sunday 20th August at 7pm.

I have input details for a quote with APH park and ride at Manchester, and it’s coming out at £79.99 for the 2 nights/3 days.

Maybe I’m being a tight Yorkshireman but £80 seems a tad expensive for a few nights car parking?

Can anyone please recommend a better alternative??

I personally work on the railway so if there are any smaller stations on the outskirts to Manchester airport that offers free parking nearby to a train station I would consider that - or if there’s a better cheaper car park please let me know.

I would travel by train, but I’ve seen there is a bus replacement service running on the Sunday so travelling all the way and back by train is not an option - hence needing the car parking.

Thanks.

Just an FYI for future reference the closer you try and book parking to the date you need the more expensive it is (edited)

    Thanks for the info.
I’ve checked my emails and had a 20 percent off code from using APH previously - so I’ve managed to get parking for £63, not ideal but needs must.

This might be an alternative for you find a parking spot and then get a taxi to the airport and back. yourparkingspace.co.uk/sea…A00

Are you open to (pre agreed) parking on someone's drive? If so, try JustPark.com which I've used many times. Ensure to add the cost of a cab to and forth inorder to see if worthwhile costwise (edited)

Actually, I just remembered as i'm driving up to manchester in a few weeks....the big multistorey car park by piccadilly station is I think about £7 a day on a sat and sun and about £20 a day mon-fri....so 2x£7 and 1x£20 = £34.

I know you said there's train strikes but the metrolink might still be running?
