Just a head’s up for anyone that was planning on using it for a Caffè Nero drink today it seems as though Priority is down for everyone at the moment.

I have a similar set-up. O2 SIM in a spare "dumb" phone and Priority App on my smart(ish !) one . Been like this for a few years.
It should be possible to downvote people who don't know what they're talking about giving totally inaccurate advice.
You can set it up but sim needs to be in the phone every time app is launched as it checks if you're connected to O2 network
Mine has the free drink offer. The app is very slow to load.

My mams had Priority on her phone for probably 2 years now, uses it for a Café Nero and Greggs every week. No o2 Sim in her phone
I've got a few phone numbers ones an o2 PAYG sim and just let my mam use that one. Like I say she's been using it for close to 2 years easy, no issues of having to re-login or anything, really don't see why you'd have to!
Better still if the advice is found to be inaccurate then delete it.
why not update it in the middle of the night (like most do?) when Caffè Nero for one, ain’t evenopen
Never had to do that. I have the O2 priority app and it launches without any checks on Sky mobile. (edited)

This is definitely not true. I use the O2 Priority app on my phone that is locked to EE and has never ever had an O2 sim inside it. I just bought a O2 PAYG sim, used an old unlocked phone to receive the text you need to receive initially for Priority, then downloaded the app on my EE phone and entered the code there. The O2 sim has been sat in a drawer somewhere for the past year.
