Hey all, I have recently purchased a first house and it is single brick with lime pebbledash and then the bottom 5 layers of brick were previously painted with some sort of black paint (not sure if bitumen or masonry paint). Historically there has been damp issues which we are dealing with by digging 3 brick layers of soil away from the wall, installing a DPM and installing a PIV.
Can I wirebrush and repaint this with masonry paint?
