You must have the corded one, they are super heavy duty. I have workzone version of those and yes they get though bricks like butter!
They're designed for SDS, but I have this set and have used with my DeWalt combi drill for the odd job drilling into concrete with no issues.
Yes my corded LIDL SDS drill is the best for heavy duty work and such good value (was about £40 if I recall). SDS is the way to go if drilling hard bricks / breaking up concrete etc.
Heat added - of course I just bought a single one of these for about £5 from Screwfix!
Got an identical kit off Amazon and it's really handy. The bits are not amazing but its really handy to have one of all the bits you don't use that often in one place. I have this and then some decent bits for the sizes I use a lot.
Never miss a 'Chisel' deal again!

Brilliant for carpentry. Sadly us general joiners (1st/2nd/final fix), can't use them due to the handles not lasting 2 minutes when hit with a 20-28oz Estwing I would still love a sweetheart block plane though.
Barely decent any more i'm afraid. The blue chip chisels used to be some of the best chisels a joiner could buy. Unfortunately Record Tools sold out to China and China promptly shut down the Record furnace on Kettlebridge Road in Sheffield. Since then the steel has turned to tripe (my opinion). My last set of splitproof chisels ended up being used for rough chopping out of plaster etc. I managed to buy a full set of traditional 1980's blue chip chisels and they are brilliant. They'll see me out for another 20 years at least.
I know (:I the good stuff is expensive... for the average guy these are Irwin ones are pretty decent
I'd probably get one with an angle guide
Yikes £173 for a set...not knocking your recommendation, I wish I was into woodwork enough to justify that set!

I've had a few Drill Bits and Kits from Toolstation, the cheaper kits, won't be using them again. The Flat Chisel, as it's non rotating probably be fine. As for SDS Drill Bits there are good and bad, the only ones that would recommend is Hilti but there not cheap.
Flat Chisel 40 x 250mm - £3 at toolstation. Looking to do a one off chasing job.
Very soon mate, hopefully around summer time hahahahhahaha
Screwfix do three chisel dewalt set for 12.99, wouldn't expect too much from the drills but if you're only hanging a couple of pictures then great price. (y)
I posted a deal from Amazon that didn't meet the specific requirements. It was a RC hdmi 2.0b 3-1 switch. It was £17 odd, delivered next day and works like a dream. I thought I was helping... 😞
I've used similar in clay. Both soft and dried, but not fired. I would feel really really uncomfortable using these type in any kind of wood.
Again, wouldn't meet HUKD criteria to post.deal(has only been a seller for 6 months)

Apparently you can post other peoples deals after 4 weeks, even if it's still active. I'm not bothering posting deals on here any more.
This was posted by myself 2 months ago and still live. Reported
Looks like a case of pricing based on past reputation, I'll stick to my old footprint chisels
Even if they stamp made in the UK on them I think they probably still just use the same mass manufacturing techniques as the Chinese made versions and its just a way to charge more. I found a pack of Sheffield made Footprint chisels on ebay that were factory fresh and had just been stored for years. Got them for less than a new pack of chisels would cost and they are way better. There are lots of tool sellers on ebay that know the tools worth and overprice them, but you can sometimes find bargains. One thing that I like about the older chisels is they are very slightly hollowground on the back of the chisel so that it takes no time at all to flatten them. The Chinese chisels are just mass manufactured and not finished at all by hand so its luck of the draw if you will end up with a chisel that will take minutes or hours to flatten.
I think you can still get uk made ones, they do hold a better edge defiantly. the Chinese ones are good but not as good as the Sheffield steel ones. old chisels are always better though, can get second hand ones and just grind them up good as new

Irwin Marples 3 chisel set, boxed with sharpening and honing tool - £29.99 @ Toolstation£29.99 Free P&P FreeToolstation Deals
Seems like a good price for a reputable brand. Similar sets at similar prices, but this tends to be £40-£45 elsewhere
A good quality Stanley set for life was only about £15 here on amazon a few weeks ago.....
Probably good for a couple of uses, which is what they're aimed at. Someone might need to hang a door and buy a set of these - use, abuse and forget about. That's why there are tools at different price points a pro would buy an Irwin set or the like, a DIYer ain't going to spend £100 on chisels to use once...
If this was America, you could buy these, use them, hopefully only loose a finger or two when they fail abysmally at absolutely anything you would expect a chisel to do, and sue everybody for wheelbarrows full of cash. I would imaging a warning on the box to read: May shatter spectacularly upon impact, or upon contact with wood. Do not use on anything denser than blancmange.
Ideal for lending to your brother in law, who is notoriously bad at remembering to hand tools back!
You're joking right? Amazon is basically Aliexpress at this point. Sub pound shop Chinese crap. Pound shop brands are a step up

These are currently less on their eBay with a code if you wanted to make a deal
Yes ... obviously they have now sold quite a few at £59 so have now put the price back up! FFX seem to vary their prices quite a bit depending on demand so you have to be quick. Sorry you missed the deal. I've expired it now ... best deal is now £67 elsewhere
£69 Quid for me....
These are not as good as Marples of old. The steel is soft and doesn't hold an edge for long (I have them in a couple of sizes for work). Narex are a better but apparently.
I have this set in a 6-piece and the quality (to my amateur eye) is outstanding. The box could do with a paint though as it's splinter-tastic.
