Magnusson Bolster & cold chisel set Magnusson Fibreglass handle Club hammer 35oz Impact Clear Wrap-around safety spectacles

Perfect for killing Vampire, Zombies, Moderators and Werewolves (party)

I paid more than this for this set during the summer from Screwfix. Currently, you can get the same items from Screwfix separately at the same price, however the code makes this the better deal. I found the chisels and club hammer to be good quality, considering the price. Can't comment on the specs as I already had a decent pair.

By owning 4 are you trying to compensate for something else.

Essential Halloween purchase.

Tried the sad face but didn’t work. £2.50 for one chisel. Oh well still good price and quality

Another happy ending (y) 3 chisels for £2.50 that's not too bad at all - with the right attitude, firm but polite. The other chisels sat waiting (lol) sorry Homebase manager Nice 1 shutterlag!

Thanks for the post. I reserved a set to pick up this morning. Was told I could only have one. I insisted it should be a set (as described) and got to speak to a manager. Only 3 of the 4 sizes in stock but he offered to do the 3 sizes they had for a total of £2.50. I agreed as he clearly doing the best he could. I could see several other individual chisels on the shelf awaiting collection so I guess I won’t have been the only one paying them a visit today. Staff on shop floor were polite, can’t be easy for them if those responsible for the descriptions on the website keep making errors. Just got to find the hidden nails on the next bit of wood I work on so I can wreck this set as well

Just had a call saying they are not a set.

Looks decent!

Omg we are talking about £1.29. This reduction is without a shred of a doubt ridiculous and insulting. It reminds me of years ago when Currys used to reduce tv's etc by 50p.

“ridiculous and insulting” an 8% reduction !! If the bank gave you an 8% reduction on your mortgage would you consider it to be “ridiculous and insulting”...

At least it says "Free delivery on £10+ spend" on their website.

Have to agree. Toolstation are great for cheap every day prices on most items so I shop there as often as can. A reduction of £1.29 is ridiculous and insulting. It will cost you more in petrol money to pick this up.

£11.59 reduced down from £12.88 - 8% off - why is this deal attracting so much heat? What am I missing?

(shock) i took one look at the picture and thought wtf, i thought it was some kind of weird ninja frisbee weapon (shock)

Looks like it'll be a great compact edition to the collection for purging DIY :S

A 'chisel' made in China, with swivelling handles/shaft. made from monkey metal and plastic, held together with mills pins. What could possibly go wrong?

I’m also a user of the micro hammer, don’t need a huge hammer when working on new builds as everything is made from cheese.

What a plonker Rodney..

I also have one of these, it’s lasted me 12 months before the handle has become an issue. It’s perfect for me to keep in my pouch all the time as it’s safe, there’s no worries of getting it stuck into your leg while jumping up and down on site. If you want a chisel for hanging doors this isn’t the one, but it you want a multi purpose chisel for every day site use, this is perfect. Everyone that has seen and used mine on site loves it. Each to their own I guess!

It takes 2 clicks to cancel , easily done.

A month's free trial is a way of sucking you in - you then have to cancel. It's bit like dealers providing the first fix free!

Errrrm, actually you can buy the item for £10 by simply signing up to Amazon with a new email. You get a month free trial of Amazon prime. I've shopped with Amazon over 10 years and never paid postage once.

Half as bad isn't good! It's just another commercial drug - once you're hooked....... It removes the ability to weigh up each and every deal on its merits and adds a degree of obligation to use it rather than shop around. Back to the original point: YOU CANNOT BUY THIS ITEM FOR £10! Are people's faculties really so dulled by the Amazon drug that they cannot understand this?

Amazing tool. Also £7.50 at BnQ

What, no comments about legal carry? Tut,tut.

Cheaper here

I’ve had one of these for a couple of years. As a Chisel it is far from great. It does work and for light use it gets the job done. If I was going to use it more I’d buy better. However I find it an invaluable tool for the bag. The butterfly handle means I no longer play Russian roulette with my fingers hunting through the bag. I also find this really handy for removing silicone from round the bath, sink, shower, etc. Opens boxes well, a handy wee pry bar, etc. If you don’t see this as a serious chisel, you’ll use and abuse it. Which is where is becomes useful.

Lidl also have digital calipers at £9.99 at the moment.. I bought a pair, and they're really good for precision measurements ...

+1 for the belt sander suggestion. I sharpened all my chisels a couple of weeks ago on a 60 grit belt. The chisels are good quality and did not adversely affect the grit on the belt. Also useful for tidying up screwdrivers.

I bought one last year - I wouldn't waste my money on it. It doesn't sharpen drills with the correct relief and a pain to set it up in the jig. The knife sharpening is very hit and miss. Just gathering dust along side my normal bench grinder which is what I've gone back to using. Cold

Had this when laston offer... went back next day :-( Does a good angle on hss drills, but far too abrasive... more so than the grinder! Chisels are held by magnet, on a plastic sliding guide.. Its a toy :-(

yep, at this rate will need to find a hit deal on another shed X)

Dual-Moulded Chisel Knife £0.95 Click & Collect Screwfix
Found 26th Jan 2017Found 26th Jan 2017
Soft-grip handle for ultimate comfort and control. Hardened and tempered 1.5" steel blade ideal for small areas of filling or wallpaper stripping.

If it's anything like the smallest one in this set that I've previously bought, the end is certainly not what I'd call sharp. Perfectly fine for chipping away at flaky paint, but not what I'd use as a main scraper. (As I say, it may be a different knife, although it looks identical!)

I'll wait for your feedback then Scunnerd

Note that some reviewers say it has a blunt end like a filling knife, not a sharp end like a scraper. I've ordered three but will reject them if they're blunt, when I collect.
