All Continental Discounts, Offers and Sale - July 2018
I'm amazed they can sell it at this price and people perceive it to be a deal. In less-economically developed countries in Asia, this is generally only consumed by the poorest people in society (manual labourers and so forth), and avoided by members of all other social strata (who eat whole, non-broken rice). While that isn't a denunciation of the quality/product itself, to sell it at this sort of price is rather audacious; and for it to be seen as good value for money, is very surprising IMO.
Cheap bird food! Wouldn’t eat it myself though
Great deal but how do you fix the rice so you can use it again?
All this "Some assembly required" business is getting out of hand.. (annoyed)
Is it only Leeds Liverpool and Birmingham?
After a week this deal only just reached 100 heat.. so you now put it on the highlights page (excited) (excited) (excited) Just sums up the mods/editors perfectly. I look forward to the deleted comment :D
What you're thoughts on this bike, and do you know of anything similar spec that's same or better for same price? https://www.evanscycles.com/pinnacle-cobalt-2-2018-hybrid-bike-EV306237
Yep, delivered by ups courier, China then stuck in a gearbest German warehouse for 6 week's. I claimed PayPal payment back, 2 weeks later was delivered. Gb never asked for the money! It was 200 pounds back then! Thanks again for you're advice (y)
Any mods invalidate warranty and as for the stresses I think that would depend on the bike design. Many e-bikes with front hub motors don't seem to have any reinforcing there, they look pretty typical for that type of bike. I personally can't see it being a problem but I guess it depends on how you use it. If you don't pedal and try to get the motor to pull you up a 3:1 gradient I can see the forks failing but in normal use with the cyclist still pedalling I can't see much problem. There is a difference between an e-bike and a e-mountain bike though, the latter is designed around stronger components and probably more likely to have a mid-mount bottom bracket type motor. If your forks fail just refit your conventional wheel before returning it to store for warranty work ;) (embarrassed) Really can't see the forks failing though. The wheel itself seems by far the weakest link and most likely to fail. Did it get through customs without additional charges? Just curious.
I already have it. i was informed by halfords and go outdoors, that they don't recommend using with any bike,as it can put stress on bike plus would invalidate warranty!
Thats fine for any geared bike but is illegal I believe in UK as needs to be setup for pedal assist and can't see that mentioned in the description. It could be a throttle control. Also the battery capacity is incredibly low and the price to ship from Europe (spain) is getting on £290. If you ship from China you will likely incure higher VAT and import charges that could take it over £300. I don't know what your existing bike is and how good but might be better to sell that and buy something like this; https://bicycles4u.com/products/esprit-electric-explorer May not be much different in price in real terms and you'll have a warranty with UK support.
Fits my Citreon 2CV perfectly. Thanks
Black 23c 700c still available at £9.99, still a good deal Was very close to ordering but I have the 4000s, and will stick to them
Out of stock:(
This Thorntons Egg is £2.50 in two of my local Tesco stores - there was a popular thread saying all eggs were 75% off on Sunday, and nobody insulted you, so don't press the "offended" button ;)
Well I just bought it today and it's on my receipt and I don't need to go to specsavers
It's £2.50 - I know this for sure as I bought one yesterday (full price £10 - 75% off = £2.50) and there was this HUKD thread :) !!
Yellow Sticker = Store Specific
Still £4 to much Thornton’s chocolate seems to taste shocking now days not as good as it use to be
Nice find @Shah.Zeb, thanks for sharing :)
These exact ones were 2 for £8 in my local Co Op before easter so cold from me.
Just got mine, expiry date in July this year
Ordered earlier thanks!
Showing as £3.62 now (mad)
That’s ok lol I would save the extra one for the 1st may 🤪 :p
I hate to rain on your parade and spoil your plan ... but doesn't April have 30 days? Please tell me you haven't applied to do the countdowns for NASA? 😄
The hotel was ok, staff a bit dippy tbh... I thought it was a bit cheapskate that they wanted £2 to upgrade the breakfast to get a bit of bacon! might stay again but nothing that special
There’s a Malmaison in Belfast
No, there are no hotels in N. Ireland or Ireland.
Take a pig with you.
Do you have any hotels in N.Ireland or Ireland?
£8.89 now (horror)
now £8.21 and rising lol
gone up now to £7.90
1. You are wrong a lot do. Instead of getting a good (hotuk)deal on 23's upgrade your bike so that you can buy 25's ! 2. The whole point of this post - a hot uk deal - well done OP 3. I didn't as - I already pointed out to you. Equally, in your misunderstanding, it could turn out to be a cost saving - if durability is equivalent in the chosen hypothetical tyre. 4. But you are missing the point - this is after all Hotukdeals. 5. LMGTFY
1. Not many bikes will fall in this category. And if they do then it's a good reason to upgrade. 2. No comment. 3. It sounded like you suggested whatever is cheapest. Which may be false economy because of the difference in durability. 4. The current fashion is not to follow fashion but use what's most effective, comfortable and safe. 5. And which tyre is that? Is it also the most comfortable and safest in the corners?
1. Their bike fame may not accept 25s. 2. If the 23s are cheaper ... some people have deep pockets and short arms. 3. No I am not suggesting this tyre for turbo training instead of a dedicated turbo tyre. 4. The current fashion and bandwagon is to ditch 23s in favour of 25s or 28s (some could do better ditching a few lbs / kgs of fat - me included) 5.Funnily enough however, the new fastest road tyre is in fact a 23 - with much lower rolling road resistance to all the proud owners of their new 25s and 28s (popcorn)
I agree it's a good post. If you want 23mm tyres, it's a very good deal. Just can't quite understand why anyone would choose 23 over 25. Unless they just don't want to change their habits. But if you're suggesting this tyre is a good cheap choice for turbo use. Well, it's not. A - it's not that cheap compared to a dedicated turbo tyre and B - it's a soft compound tyre so will last a fraction of the time a dedicated turbo tyre will last.
Completely agreed about the turbo. I understand what you are saying about training, but to be honest there is so little in it in terms of resistance. The comfort is night and day however. On the money saving front, it's fine to buy something because it's cheap, but not if it's not the right product.
one full paying adult gets 2 kids to eat free I don't think I could manage a full one, let alone two...........
Cheers chichi :D
You're spot on, it did! (y)
I've just stayed in Premier Inn breakfast same price and picture, thyme restaurant , assuming same chain, extra child was £4 but phone and ask they'll tell you. Travel lodge not as good no where near, £8.25 an adult with two free children, then £3.75 for extra children. Under 16 is classed as a child at both. 17 plus for adult price.
Sure this deal used to be 3 kids free per adult
Looking for a bit of advice as I don't know much about bikes. I checked my bike and the rim says 29er 622 x 19C 6061, will the 29x2.2 fit my bike okay?
Ordered 2 2.2 29er for front and back, really tempted by the 2.4 for the front but doubt I have the clearance and think it will be over kill once the worst of the winter is over
Mines still going strong too
There's also a great tyre for muddy rear conditions which I use round Mugdock/ West Highland way trails , also good as a fast rear tyre for trail centres just under 600g and can be run tubeless , gd times. 26x2.1
Loads in St Marys Little Garden
Got some in the Hull kingwood store
Had loads of these in Ashton
£2 for the over 500g dairy box tho! Great for Easter too lol
Were still £7 on shelf in my Asda today, picked up the £1.75 290g boxes Lily O'Brien instead!
Small boxes, no way are these worth the asking price.
142 gram boxes?! Isn’t that very small
Sorry should've clarified it's for Bridgestone tyres,I've amended the ad accordingly :)
Never tire of these deals
This code only applies to Bridgestone tyres. https://www.national.co.uk/promotional-discount-codes
Didn't work for me
personally i'd rather just get some love you long times https://www.amazon.co.uk/Linglong-GREENMAX-245-Weather-Tire/dp/B014K47PF4/ref=sr_1_15?s=automotive&rps=1&ie=UTF8&qid=1506532718&sr=1-15&keywords=245/40/18&refinements=p_76:419158031
damnit.. was hoping for a deal on these.. kept seeing other sizes and hoping.. and i missed it :(
Dang - that was a fantastic price. Expired
Thanks for all the posts....I encourage buying and storing as my car was off the road a week trying for run flats
Price is now £209.91+ £10 delivery.
Good price, I'd go to an independent firm for the best price for fitting, they'll charge less than somewhere like kwikfit, unfortunately don't think they'll fit my old ford fiesta !
If you're a Costco member it's about a tenner per tyre. Costco will check the speed and load rating before fitting a tyre that you've supplied.
Thanks a good dea
Some great deals on tyres right now, I just bought these for my kia Sorrento. Almost a third of RRP Pirelli Scorpion Verde - 235/60/R18 107V - B/B/71 - Summer Tire (4x4)
