Just to add to the list, I was browsing and this seems to cover three bases you mentioned. 5 star reviews overall as well! amazon.co.uk/dp/B083JP39W4/ref=cm_sw_r_sms_apa_i_rg60Eb1K89X7M Edit: except for a case, actually
Silverline's "guarantee" policy is basically, if the piece of tat breaks, they send you a replacement piece of tat. At no point will they entertain the idea of refunding you the money.
fwiw, I notice the Makita M4301 is now £29.99 at Amazon UK but on back order. Makita is £28.99 from this ebay seller. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Makita-M4301-240V-450W-65mm-Maktek-MT-Jigsaw/333597052851 The Makita is only 450w, 65mm in wood. Changing blades requires use of supplied allen key. No plastic carry case. Lowest Bosch model is PST 700 E at 500w (65mm in wood) at £43 with keyless blade change, but it does not offer pendulum setting for fast cutting through timber. It does come with a case. PST 800 PEL is 520w with pendulum settings and has been as low as £58 on Amazon. I was waiting for this to come back in stock, but decided to order the Makita as it is almost half the price. Cheapest cordless is Einhell from Wickes. £50 with 3A battery and charger, but no case or saw blade. Makita and I think Bosch come with 3 year warranties for what they are worth. Bosch wood blade set £7.75 from Amazon: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Bosch-10-Piece-Jigsaw-Blade-Wood/dp/B000R5LQBK/
Thanks - ordered!
And power...don’t really enjoy using it 😨
