"9 and 3¼'s? Think you're being funny do ya?" (lol)
Was buying 2 for the little sister before Christmas and said plenty of stock, however received March this year. What a surprise when picked up from security!
iwoot doesn’t work for me :(
I think quality save is in greater Manchester only and only certain places at that. Home bargains is whole of the u.k. It's odd though
Yeah, there are lots of both Home bargains and Quality Save about, but come to think of it... never both shops in the same centre...hmmm...
They are the same, do u have both shops near u too? Gotta related somewhere
Hmm, I took a pic of some thorntons that I thought might be a good deal- don’t think they’re that good, so didn’t bother posting, but look at the price label...
Hmm just googled. Don't think they are the same company but the have to same supplier if produce: They are supplied for by TJ Morris Ltd. Because of this, Quality Save is often confused with Home Bargains. That's off Wikipedia (y)
They do. The idea is so simple its brilliant (y) I use a small one about 1 1/2 foot with a bit of wood screwed underneath at 90 degrees for quickly cutting/squaring the ends on bits of wood/cladding etc.
Thanks, I'm going to make one of these, could save a lot of time and effort. (y)
^^ Jus sayin' ;) Saves the mental effort of calculating your blade offset as well, clamp it right at the cut line and go... :)
You could just use a 1200mm level clamped to the plywood sheet as it will do the same job as this clamp from Lidl, that's what I used to do until I got myself a plunge saw with guide rails
Yes, that was the very reason I asked my question above and, judging by the replies, the answer is no. It seems it will only take a workpiece of about 100cm (1000mm) and an 8 x 4 sheet is 2440mm x 1220mm. A pity, because most of the things I cut come in 8 x 4 sheets.
The SELs were there, just no items. Asked a member of staff but he couldn't say if they'd come in, and apparently if they don't arrive on the right delivery chanced are they went to another store and won't come in. Interestingly one SEL said reciprocating saw, but that isn't listed as being at mine anyway.
Lidl deals are regional. Check on line with your postcode.
Empty shelves in my local, no sign of this or several other bits. Either they'd all been cleared out before lunchtime or they didn't arrive :(
Got one last year can't fault it. Redone my roof and it must of cut about 50 lats on one battery.
thanks for the great information, I have Makita B06292 jigsaw blades, do you think the lidi one is as good as the Makita, if that so I would stock some now. thanks I also read someone mention 'Sextons blades' a lot on this forum, would this lidi one as good as that? thanks
Decent quality, made is Switzerland in the Bosch factory (along with any 'Made in Switzerland' jigsaw blades)
Would be good to understand more in detail.
Personal preference obviously, but I find the body-grip jigsaws much better than conventional D-grip ones. If you've got small hands the Metabo equivalent might be worth a look as it has a slimmer body.
Got any O's?
Seems to be back to full price now so I've expired it.
Are the blades standard on these ? Will any jigsaw blade fit ? Cheers
If they censor their own reviews they probably have a team of brown tongued lackeys posting on here . No wonder every £5 0ff £1000 spend argos deal gets voted hot.
I missed out last time so ended up buying Guild 750w ( buyer return ) noticed the screws holding the blade in are naff so bought some new ones and cuts through 22mm chipboard lovely!
beware Argos reviews, I bought the Guild drill and discovered the description was copy/pasted from a more expensive model. Customer services only solution was take it back, 30 mile trip, no recompense. Wrote this in review, Argos review people rejected it... No value in reviews if the business being reviewed decides what goes in
Got a receipt? Would help to locate the item
Anyone had any luck buying from Orpington store
Oo even better
Plus a book too. I got it yesterday
No will fit any jigsaw with T-bar fitting.
Some Argos stores are closed because of the weather but they are doing longer reservation times info here.
No stock anyway
Just for Makita?
Argos should arrange an Easter Egg Hunt..... it'd keep the kids busy til christmas!
thanks for this, other half into jigsaws now so hopefully this will frustrate! only one of your links works but its in stock for me !
Anywhere between £8 and £12 some slightly higher depending on type (skeptical)
Great backwards - why? EDIT...OMG, I just realised why the reason behind the name of this company...so sorry!! (embarrassed)
How much are these normally?
Got one thanks and tip my hat to Calvin & Hobbes
Hope you get it OP
This is a site for those who tend to keep away from things that cost them an arm and a leg.
Any good removing legs & arms?
It's gone they've changed it now, but it was 110 for quite a bit
Good jigsaws, bought these from Amazon some weeks back but were definitely more than £1 :(
I have put in post, just under pic ,was Ellesmere Port store, but should be all stores 💖
Hi which wilkos please
I got a jigsaw for Christmas and I'd happily sell it for 50p
I bet it got a thumbs up (y)
Damn. I paid a pound for am xmas one in the same kind of box a weeks ago. What a fool I am. Heat added.
I bought my Mother a jigsaw for Xmas. She cut four of her fingers off!
I got a jigsaw for Christmas - it said 3- 4 years . I completed it in under 2 months - Lightweights ! :D
ITMA gets upset quite often, poor guy.
I would recommend the Disney Thomas Kinkade puzzles. More affordable and more manageable space wise. https://www.amazon.co.uk/Schmidt-puzzle-59484-Moonlight-Kinkade/dp/B074TP1KQB/ref=sr_1_1?s=kids&ie=UTF8&qid=1519081303&sr=1-1&keywords=Disney+puzzle+Thomas
The in-laws bought me a 3000-piece jigsaw for Xmas as a bit of a **** take present. We don't physically have the space in our house to get it out so it's still in the box. I'd love to see their faces when they open this on Xmas morning 8)
I haven't done a jigsaw in forever, but if I had a 22.25 foot wall (shock) to build it on I would of been sorely tempted :o
Heat given, good price. Ignore the numpties
Cheers Andy, I keep forgetting to do that (y)
Thanks for posting @ThanksForThat , I've added the price and merchant to the title
spent ages looking tried phoning a few places and pricing up ,went round in circles for weeks away went for the screwfix deal https://www.screwfix.com/p/dewalt-dck456m3t-gb-18v-4-0ah-li-ion-xr-brushless-cordless-4-piece-power-tool-kit/2013p the three are brushless and every other shop seemed to want the same price plus the vat
Bargain this lot (cheeky)
There's some right scumbags about (mad)
got peeled and stealed ,(have a google ) got away with at least 11 x 18v tools 6 batts along with anything with dewalt on it, lasers screwset ,drills ! so am definaltly one for these deals atm
Ah yes, it was £340. A great bargain in any event!
I paid £17.29 from Amazon before Christmas for these jigsaws. Gibsons are one of the best makes and to get 4 jigsaws for this price is exceptional.
