How can you possibly make a judgment with having no idea of something? Owning an S7 does not make you an oracle. If anything went wrong with the phone and you later found out you weren't covered by warranty as long as you pay by credit card you'd have a very good chance the credit card company would have your back, as the site is. Co.uk and you could argue that you were misled and thought you were buying with a UK company and would have a normal warranty. Limitations act 1980 makes a credit card company liable in consumer contacts under s75 joint liability - consumer credit act 1974 for up to six years. I've argued this successfully, with a Samsung tablet from a similar .co.uk none UK company.

But you shouldn't have to start disabling stuff to make it faster. Stock Android deffo way forward. Shame I can't afford a Pixel just yet so Nexus 6 going to have to last another year. Still going strong.

Previous S8, S8+ and Note 8 owner. I've had two S8s, two S8+ and two Note 8s since they launched, because I kept convincing myself that they must be amazing because of the hype - and indeed they are lovely objects. Each time I was disappointed with the cameras, the biometrics, the overall performance and in the case of the Note 8, the old security updates (mine was 5 months out of date when I sold it last week and the BTU model has still not been updated).

Not knocking Samsung as a lot of people get on great with them, and their hardware is obviously very good quality. I basically offered my mint Note 8 (direct from Samsung) for a Pixel 2 though and no one came forward - so maybe those bezels are a decent trade off for the software experience, fast updates, camera and customer service.

You may only use your phone for calls texts and the odd WhatsApp therefore even a 150 quid phone would suffice, but if you're a heavy user, want good camera, use apps, and browse regularly it's the price you pay, no one's saying to then go upgrade annually, that would be madness .. Maybe because some of us are able to spend a lot but still like to find a deal for an item in question? If I'm looking for a Pixel and I've decided this is the phone I want, if I can make a saving on that product then so be it. Maybe I don't care if Phone A exists and it costs £250

Too many people on this site seem to have this urge to try and crap on products/users that are willing to spend above their own payment threshold. Nothing wrong with someone who's willing to buy a £800 TV for example wanting to see if they can get it for £700 instead.

I wouldn't personally spend £1000 on an iPhone X but if someone only wants an iPhone X and they can come to HUKD and find it for £900 then I don't really see the issue. Move on

I've opened up a dispute with Topcashback so hopefully it gets sorted.

I hope they increase it to the advertised value! I didn't use the code for the £10 off on purpose as I was counting on the £35 cashback.

There is an adapter in the box( NO USB C Headphones in the box WTF) and the battery lasts me all day so no issues having to charge while listening to music. I recently switched to BT headphones and feels nice not having the wire there anymore.I switched from a Note 4 so this is a pretty great upgrade for me tech wise. The fingerprint sensor is great, the screen is great, the camera is amazing. I find myself taking a lot more pics than before and you son't need an SD card as you have free cloud storage. I couldn't recommend this phone enough.

@NocturnELL I pretty much agree with what @B_Marvel has said.

- I love the camera.

- The fingerprint sensor works well.

- Battery life is nothing special but it manages to last most of the day for me. Here's my screen usage from earlier to give you a rough idea of battery life:

- It charges up really, really quick.

- The free unlimited Google online photo and video storage is great.

- No headphone jack but there is an adapter included. I have Bluetooth headphones so it was not really a big deal to me.

32946550-ddcNY.jpg
- You will need to get another adapter/cable if you want to connect the phone via USB to a computer/laptop.

- The display is great and everything looks lovely on it.

- No micro SD card slot does bug me as I use my phone for music, games etc.

Overall, I'm really liking the phone.

that's from the SIM only Contracts section though, no mention of this in the Handset Contracts offers

Increased from £50 off! Matching deals from Carphone Warehouse & Currys but with Google's far better returns & warranty policies. Pixel 2 is still £50 off.
Surprised Google have expired the discount, seeing as it's still £100 off at CPW
2017 has probably been the worst year for smartphones to the point where I’m seriously considering a new iPhone 6S for 300 quid and calling it a day.

The s8 has horrible pink screen issues and slowed down very quickly.

The OnePlus 5 was the best built phone I’ve used this year, but privacy concerns and a stuttery software experience ruined it.

The pixel 2 was old school design wise but very nice to use, however 2 faulty displays and I’d had enough.

Its bigger XL brother was nice to use too, great camera, but while display faults weren’t on offer, the blue tint was.

The note 8 was a beautiful device, but again held back by poor Samsung software in addition to a ridiculously bad fingerprint placement meant it was hassle to unlock.

Im currently on the iPhone X and after a few days honeymoon period, this too has begun to slow and stutter. I have maybe 10 apps installed and a few stock apps removed. The stutter seems to be down to the inability of iOS to render higher resolution screens. It’s been a consistent problem with the ‘plus’ line of iPhones since they were introduced 3 years ago.

For for the price of these devices you can now get a brand new 6s on eBay for 300 unlocked, with warranty, and then use the spare change for an iPad, and still have 100 coins spare to buy plenty of Starbucks coffees.
Anyone using android auto with their Pixel 2 or pixel 2 XL,I'm experiencing some issues with it...

Yes I think they were. All the minor issues people complained about were fixed rapidly via software updates which just goes to show that they listen to customers feedback and do something about this t which is more than I can say for other companies. And as for the blue shift it is nothing like as bad as people make out and don't think I would've even noticed it if it wasn't gone on and on about which made it the first thing I checked when I got the pixel, and then I looked at my note 8 and even that had blue shift which was only marginally less noticeable, just on the pixel it was like you said blown out of all proportion and made you look for it. Had the phone for a bit now and haven't looked back and still absolutely no regrets. Excellent phone.

Screen is great, much lighter and easier to handle, fast and silky smooth os with absolutely no lag, fast updates to rectify issues and excellent battery life... especially compared to my note 8 which I'd struggle to get a full day of moderate use whereas pixel has been having at least 30% left at the end of the day with heavier use.The note 8 is a great phone but I find this much better in day to day use and manageability. It really is a great phone.

I bought this 5 days ago, any chance of getting this discount somehow?

If you bought it in Currys then go back into then and they will refund you the difference if it's within 7 days.
If you're after a quality Android phone that has a 5inch screen this is the best out there, hands down in every single aspect. If you're after a screen size of over 5.5" then I'd go with a s8 or s8+, purely because the Pixel 2 XL has a long list of problems however this smaller version doesn't . Best camera, minimum of 3 years software updates, stock Android and just runs slick.

Did you not read my last post. You know the bit where I say it will do the job very well. However I usually find that most negative points are actually true in reality. It's a question of whether they bother you or not. Never said I wouldn't buy one.
