sorted byYup, as well as Carers - unless on legacy benefits like Income Support, they get UC as well as a top up
I think you can if you are out of contract. Might be worth a call and just explain your circumstances though if you’re still in contract.
Wishing your wife (and yourself) all the best.
I disagree I've got bt fibre. Wouldn't swap it for anyone else. And when you want to cancel or renew. You get to talk to someone from this country.
Get haggling with Sky mate if you're that close to the end of your contract!
It's available to new and existing customers, the requirement is to be on any of the benefits listed, existing BT Basic customers can also move to this package.
Not in my experience!
Thats was to be this weeks task, this offer makes it a lil easier as i can see if i can use it as a bit of extra leverage being a full time carer
It includes line rental and 700 minutes of calls to UK landlines and UK mobiles, the latest hub (Smart Hub 2) would be included.
Not looked at that, although i should do as my SKY contract is ending end of this month lol,
In the article it does say
The average fibre package in the UK costs about £25 a month, according to comparison site Uswitch.
People eligible for BT Home Essentials will pay £15 a month for speeds of about 36 megabits per second (Mbps).
Yup, Tyrone2020 seems to be the first!
Def, good luck!
I think the price includes both line and fibre, probably an older router I guess.
They have to be bundled together in the cost you see now.
I’ve just cancelled sky. I was only on basic 14 Meg and they wanted £25.
So I’ve just gone with Vodafone super fast deal. Up to 59mg for £22 a month. Two years contract though. But anything better than sky.
Seems like "Beardy" offers the same so you might be able to switch ?

Philip Jansen is that you?? (edited)
BT are great.
Until you have a problem. They are the Vodaphone of the landline market.
My address is still waiting for a fibre broadband option from anyone, at any price....and no I don’t live in a rural area
Thanks, it sounds like we won't get it as we don't have actual 'fibre' broadband.
I renewed my contract last year so not able to change yet.
Ive read and it is mainly universal credit and income support, Does anyone know if child tax credit and working tax credit are eligible if they are I will pass this link on to someone who may be eligible ?
Thanks
Fowarded that to my friend & now they can get a freeview recorder & bt sports & entertainment & HD & 36mb broadband & BT App (4 devices) for the grand total of £55
Couple that with Amazon Prime.
Pretty sure they will let me abuse one device on the BT App too. Job done.
