They were available on Game.co.uk but went out of stock, however normally you can pre-order in store. You just have to ask and pay a £2 or £3 deposit
They will also go live on the Nintendo store at some point, however normally they weirdly have the least stock. It will almost definitely be cheaper with Nintendo as well (edited)
Just been to Game, they don't have it for in store preorder.
It may be store specific, I think the manager can just put the code in the till and it allows you to order. I know others have done the same with the Zelda TOTK amiibo

I doubt all retailers will stock these, but worth keeping an eye out. Annoyingly the mods don’t allow these to be posted as deals, so even if you set alerts on here they get moved to discussions.
