Is a shutter count of 16k good on a Sony A7 iii?

Posted 7th Jul 2023
Looking to buy this camera and the seller is stating it has a shutter count of 16k. Upon googling this lens has an expected life of 200,000.

Should be absolutely fine? however, just wandering before i buy if anyone had any objections or things I should look out for with it? This will be my first proper camera and it's not exactly cheap so don't want to miss anything obvious.

Cheers

It should be fine. 16K is low

But like anything else it could fail sooner. Cars have blown there engines after a few miles, planes have crashed on there first flight.

Lifetime is 200000. It could fail tomorrow.

If in doubt just buy new with warranty

check dpreview etc to see if there are any issues with the model.

cameras tend to have either lots of use or almost nothing. 16k is a fair amount so check to see how the buttons are holding up.
