Sapphire rx580 Graphics card power requirement?

I have a Corsair vs550W power supply and want to put a Sapphire rx580 graphics card which has power connectors of 6pin and 8pin. Do I need to have them both connected to the psu or is one enough ?

It depends on the model. Techpowerup lists each model. If the card has two connectors they will both need connecting.

Yes reading the box says both need to be plugged , found a box picture with details on it .
