Lebara requiring pay as you go SIM to be topped up

Posted 23rd Jul 2023
So my lebara number is currently kept as pay as you go and recently got an email that says that I would lose this number due to not being topped up for 90 da. Want to check if this is true and how to mitigate it.

    From their website (my-sim-card-not-working):

    Has your SIM card expired?
If you haven’t used your SIM card in the last 90 days to make a call, send a text or browse the internet, you will need to add credit or buy a plan to resume services.Click her to buy new credit or add a plan.

After a further 365 days of no usage or top-up/plan purchase, your SIM would have expired, and you will need to order a new SIM Online or pick one up in-store.

Yes unfortunately Lebara and a few other small networks have tough PAYG expiry policies. There's a summary on this site: kenstechtips.com/ind…iry

If you have credit on it, convert it to a bundle.

If you want to park the number, move it to another network like ASDA or O2.

If you want to keep your number, you will have to top up that is add credit. Get it.
