does the link goto rakuten or a .ru domian ?

What is the website address that the link sends you to? Right click & copy link.

Rakuten has closed down in the UK so not sure why you're getting that

DO NOT CLICK THE LINK !! Never click an email link .

"Dear customer" about as believable as all those nameless Very phishing emails I got last year.

Do not click on the "reset password" as it might be traced by fraudsters

I am still getting Rakuten emails which I have not clicked on as they informed me a while ago that they has ceased trading

The reset link goes to ap.accounts.global.rakuten.com/glo…tml Comes up with some foreign text then redirects. No idea.

To be fair rakuten was always a dodgy website from when it was first created. Great deals but was extremely unsecure. Had fraud on my one bank account from chinese transactions shortly after using rakuten. 99% sure it was related to rakuten.

You didn't - Aagh . First thing run virus checker , then change all your passwords on everything . They may have put a worm on your computer and I hope you didn't reset your password on that dodgy link .

Never ,ever, ever click on a link in an email. If you must go to the site via your browser and check it out from there .

Shame on Henlans and Penguins for all for advising you to click the link This is why you should never trust the post of someone you don't know on here .

Deleted my Credit card info from the site anyway. No mention that I needed to reset my password anywhere other than in that email. Never had a phishing email come to my inbox since gmail started. have now.
