Afternoon all, for some reason my search isn’t working on the app - keeps coming up error.
Obviously I still have the Turkish Netflix set up for the lovely sum of a couple of quid a month.
I know a while ago, you could do something similar on YouTube premium. Anyone know if you can vpn to sign up and get a cheap rate f especially a family plan?
I’ve got a few free card (revolt) so just need to find which country to set the vpn for a cheap rate lol
Thanks

Yes, very helpful advice for iPhone users
Yeah that 16.99TL (92p) a month is a killer
wouldn't work on chrome using my VPN (private internet access), however did on edge. just had to sign into youtube once vpn set to india. used my normal debit card individual charged me £1.27 for a month (12 month plan) via halifax debit card.
Free windscribe vpn is only from London, Paris, Ireland ect. (edited)
It blows my mind that people pay for YouTube.
You may as well put that money down the drain outside your house and use the options above, you will achieve the same thing. Why waste a tenner a year? (edited)
"If you've got an Android phone then ..." is usually far more helpful. Not everyone knows those apps are Android-only. (edited)
I use Brave with ad blocker, Never get add’s on YouTube.
Does premium give me anything extra.
Most people use this reasoning and fail to realise that many people like to watch YouTube on Smart TV's and their phones.
Obviously if you've got Android there are solutions, but for many, having an ad-free experience on a Smart TV is more than worth 23p a week ..
Ok that makes sense, I use a desktop.
Do those options include high res You Tube Music ?
YouTube music itself is something I cannot comprehend (edited)
Good for you, but how do i get it free?
For the sake of £1.30 a month, which lets you use multiple devices around the house and YT music, why muck about with third partyapps and extensions?
OP if you’re going to get a family plan, make sure you follow the instructions about adding extra people before committing to the subscription. I’ve not been able to find any means of changing/adding family accounts without being hit with an “out of region” message - adding extra payment options to the sub accounts doesn’t work for me. It includes unlimited music streaming on your phone and Google / Sonos smart devices.
I can't think of a cheaper ad-free alternative for music streaming.
You seem to be struggling to comprehend YouTube in it's entirety really. Is a site you've never heard of up until recently ?
Maybe because we like the freedom of not having to click ads every time we want to watch a YouTube video or multiple ads throughout a video? Asides android devices, YouTube premium gives IPhone users the ability to have background playback whereas, that isn’t an option as standard. Plus it helps my younger siblings watch on their phones and tablets without an annoying advert popping up. Just because paying for YouTube isn’t justified for yourself, for others like me, I have 101 reason why it’s beneficial and paying couple quid a month for a family plan is nothing . Likewise, why pay for Netflix(if you do pay for that service) when you can watch them shows and episodes for free pirated online? You pay for the convenience to watch it as and when you want, as well as, in HD quality compared to waiting for a cracked movie app to source links and whatever to even watch it. (edited)
You might want to check with your bank, and or account terms and conditions if they charge for currency conversion. If it’s not fee free, you’d see another little charge for paying in rupees. Best to just use a fee free card like Monzo, Starling or a CC that doesn’t charge for transaction in another currency.
yup, why wouldn't it be? you are buying a licence to use a service. they offer the service at different price to different regions based upon their income levels of the region, and any licensing arrangements and the costs with the media licensing agency(s) in that particular region.
the artists still get paid, google still get paid.
it might be against the terms of service, but thats not illegal.
Why is a revolut card needed? Can’t I use my Barclaycard?
£1.25 a month for family premium using Argentina (edited)
