Can someone advise which is the better model? Many thanks

I suppose "genius technology" means that like most air fryers you can set the time to whatever you want ;)

Advance model back in stock, just ordered one using the code. Cheers OP (y)

Completely agree, the handles break too, can no longer replace, was having to replace handles at £20 a go. Heard the salter one is much better.

I'm hungry after reading that. Sounds delicious 😋

The cooking quality is great had no problems with that side of things.

I was thinking of getting the actifry for that very reason you mentioned but now I'm not sure. I guess I could try it and return it if needs must. How you finding it for the cooking side of things?

I took it back to curry’s and they exchanged it there and then. I do like the actifry because it has the paddle to keep turning them. It just feels cheap. Not sure if they are using a new manufacturer compared to 4/5 years ago.

£90 in B&M just spotted

I have one and I find it terrible, I bought a Ninja and compared the same frozen fries and there is no comparison,

Model is great if you just cooking frozen things like chips and nuggets

The same price in John Lewis and u get 2 yers warranty

I tend to take the stirrer out of mine for the same reason. I just manually give things a turn/stir halfway through. Probably not the best if cooking for a family, but I find it's ok just for myself.

Have had 2 of these Both have ended up with electrical faults and had black acrid smoke in the kitchen. As said, Tefal customer service is awful. Does do bloody good chips though - far better than normal air fryers. Depends how much you like your kitchen

You may be missing the point of an air fryer there...

Seems like a lot of mixed review here. I bought one last year and have no problems with it. I think the paddle works fine for chips and anything else that is not mushy or too big. Good price and heat from me!

I've got this. Wouldn't recommend. The paddle bit doesn't really help. And you have to take it out if you want to cook things that don't require the paddle. Next time I would get one without the paddle.

I bet in some cases it would be cheaper to just go and get chips fron the local chippy!

It's always been noisy which is quite normal. This is now seriously loud and we've got to shout over it to be heard - its like a helicopter over the house and is probably the (very well used) heater fan on it's last legs

They are loud and the probably use a load of electricity, but I love mine. Life changing. Heathy sweet potato fries. Does a great job with chicken or carrot as well. Cleans well in the dishwasher too (the trays, not the whole unit!)

They are loud like hair dryer and motor. XD prob why timer detachable so can hear it Pull_up a youtube review and compare your noise

Only had mine a few weeks and it's always been really noisy, do you think it's a fault?

I just take out the paddle if I dont want to mash things. HTH

Good spot @AndrewRatcliffe (ninja) Thanks for sharing!

We use ours nearly every day. Handy for chips, chicken wings, lazy roast potatoes and sausages....not all at once!!

Oven barely gets any use here thanks to this Tip for chips, prep potatoes (2 large potatoes) way before you need them (peel slice etc.) leave them immersed in cold water for a few hours, rinse off. Microwave chips without water for 10 mins (800w), then actifry with a spoonful of oil for 20 mins

Deffo not a cupboard filler. My toastie machine and waffle maker are, but this permanently lives on the worktop and is ace for chips and sausages for the odd morning cob. It’s awesome.

Do you have a link? I can’t find it, thanks
