You could always call them up tomorrow and check if they can turnaround your order in the timescale you want.

When there’s not a sale on I find SpeckyFourEyes to be pretty fast.

During a sale I’ve waited a month for my order. But during non sale times I’ve had my order in 5 days - I’ve waited longer for my local optician to have my glasses ready before.

Just last month I used their reglazing service and had my glasses back within a week too.

I recently got an order from Glasses Direct, just checking my emails I placed the order on June 27th, got an email that they were on their way July 2nd, then arrived by Royal Mail 24 hour tracking on the 4th. That's one week start to finish? Mine is a standard prescription, although I did have one standard pair and one light sensitive.

As a comparison my sons and daughters glasses come from Asda opticians, typically there's a 2 week lead time then we have to book an appointment to have them fitted.

Thanks both, I've used specky before, but I think on an MSE offer, and I think it was about 6 weeks or so.

Thanks fof the Asda info I just looked and couldn't find anything anyway, but good to know, I thought they might be quicker!

I'll take a look at glasses direct too, I think I may have used them ages ago, back in the days of Lensway and all that!
