I got mine new from the garmin store for £165 last month via a code a saw on here. As for the watch it’s been great. I think for people who do a lot of sports and want to track activities, but want something normal looking on their wrist this is ideal. I like the size of this being like a standard watch. For people who want lots of different apps then probably worth saving for an Apple Watch

I was going to post the fenix 6s Pro at 290 but they're sold out. They had 30 or so a few weeks ago. I think cex are not using all their stock for certain things because of the current situation. I've noticed that some items show a long list of stock but under the add to basket button it might only say 2 in stock.

Heat from me, great piece of kit and not much more in terms of cost than a vivoactive 3 music, whereas this is more compact and has a few more handy features. The not syncing without Internet shouldn't put you off, it's not like the Internet is a rare commodity. I do trust cex grade B. 90% of the time they are perfect no box and the other 10% I send back with no hassle. Though bear in mind the current situation.

Good battery life (at least 3 or 4 days) but doesn't syc with your phone when there's no Internet (which seems rather crazy) Pulse Ox might be useful at the present time. How bright is the display in broad daylight? Would I trust CEX with a grade B? £219 from John Lewis new under £200 from others

GPS Smartwatch with built-in Sports Apps and Wrist-based Heart Rate @Garmin Store via Totum App link

It works but only through totum app

Oh fair enough. It doesn't work either way

I think very very few people were Totum members who have been using this link for the last few months, me included.

Also you need to specify that Totum scheme is £14.99. Does not work on the free version.

It's the usual issue. £111 is the discounted price meant for schemes like TOTUM. The £159 is the proper price.

Usually £259.99, I found it at £220 elsewhere but this is the best deal I've seen in a while.

I saw this deal yesterday evening and went to order it today at work but didn’t have a card on me, the price was definitely £179.99 as I got all the way to check out. By the time I got home about 5pm, the price had gone up to £239, I’m gutted, should have ordered it last night ;(

Or worked for me, think it ran out yesterday if I remember correctly

I don't think there was any great trick to it. I'm sure she simply logged in and the price was there. Maybe they have fixed the double discount thing. I'm not sure.

How does it work both discount I can't use both

I know i have life insurance too but unfortunately I can't get applied both discount because you get it for such a low price. I was wondering if you go through this link which is already discounted how do you apply vitality discount on top?

Seems like it's the cheapest for this particular model as far as I can see. I was waiting for it to go below £200 before I jumped and now, here I am.

Ah right maybe then yeah. That would make sense

Is it not because the link followed is the leaked NUS / Totum discount link. If you go via Garmin’s normal page the prices are higher as usual.

Decent cheers mate. I thought so was just sceptical with the price difference. Cant understand how they have randomly dropped the price 60 odd quid.

Mine was brand new, so I'm assuming they all are. No mention of refurbished on the site anywhere either. Very pleased with it so far.

Mine arrived 2 days ago and I'm loving it. Leaps and bounds ahead of my Fitbit and Wear OS watches. I couldn't have bought it at the non discounted price, but at sub £200, and less had I gone for the silver, I am very pleased.

Battery life is fantastic. I used to have a Samsung sports watch and it was awful, battery life never lasted a day and the software is a complete joke, syncing problems and it was hard work doing anything. Garmin software is brilliant, easy setup, easy syncing to all my various apps. I will never, ever go back to buying Samsung... Garmin has a customer for life. The only gripe I have with the watch is it sometimes has empty gaps in the sleep monitoring

Battery life is great (about 5 - 7 days depending on usage)

For sports tracking, a Garmin watch (and associated software) is gonna beat any Samsung. The Samsung might be a better smart watch though. Depends on your individual requirements.

Cheers for this. I've been pondering on what to buy since my Fatbit Charge2 failed completely, and the end of last year, and was looking at HUAWEI Watch GT Amazfit GTR \ GTS Fitbit Charge 3 As I've got an iPhoneX and do cycling, walking and various fitness classes, I think this looks like the best option than any of the above, and great deal at £130.

Only battery life is poor i think.

Got mine - very pleased. Big improvement over my old vivoactive. Took a while to get connected properly in the app and replace old watch but got there in the end. Only thing not working is the weather which just says ‘no data available’ - very weird because it worked fine on my old watch and the app/permissions are all ok

Yeah I updated it, I read online that it can be slow to connect the first time but improves afterwards, it's not a big issue tho.

Not tried GPS yet but this watch is amazing! I love all the different watch faces you can get, wish I got this sooner! Will try GPS out at weekend when I go play golf and report back Have you updated it?

Been using this for a few days now and really enjoying it, thi k we've got a bit of a bargain with it. The only slight negative is that it sometimes takes a minute or more to find a GPS signal when starting an activity, anyone se got any experience of this?

Mines arrived this afternoon. Still to set it up but looks a nice bit of kit!

Days???! It'll go through the battery whilst using the GPS in about 5-6 hours. There isn't a watch out there with more than 1 day battery life with GPS on. In normal use I charge mine a couple of times a week, more often if I'm doing lots of outdoor exercise.

If you mean constantly on then about half a day max. It’s rated at 13 hours but probably more along the lines of 10. I train once a day using GPS for about an hour and I charge mine about every 5 days.

It's still early days for my 4S, but quite impressed. The bluetooth range seems to be improved on these too. Garmin pay should work regardless of bank as Curve is on the Garmin list (no section 75 protection, but contactless payments are below the £100 threshold in any case) otherwise it's Santander only.

this is a different device but the only difference is the screen - so heart rate should be the same DC rainmaker is the king of fitness reviews

Does anyone have experience with the heart rate monitor on this and would like to give some input?

Is the 3 Music likely to drop back to £150 like the expired Curry’s deal again?

That was for the smaller size which is bit cheaper than this. I think 225 would be a good price point.

Decided to take a punt on one of these for the time being since it can be returned up to 25th January. Edit: Came this morning can't fault the service for free delivery. Ordered just after 5pm next day Saturday delivery before 9am.

Shame, I would've gone for the standard size 4

It's not just the strap the screen is smaller than the VA3M (1.1" vs 1.2", 218px vs 240px), but the battery life is around the same instead of improved like the standard size version 4. On the flip side you might be more inclined to use the sleep tracker due to the size. I'm on the upper limit of fit for one of these 110-175 mm. Can't decide. With hindsight I'd have bought the polar vantage M black friday week for £150ish I'm not sure it will go back to that after the major firmware updates adding ignite exclusive features and more.

Ordered! Combined with additional discount that I get through work.

Great price... Heat

This is a good link for what's better. Important ones imo battery +1hr of (music + GPS), New ELEVATE sensor which allows optical heart rate when swimming (VA3 needs a chest strap and is basically gyro only without one). Extra button used for better control. Setting laps when running for example. Sizing is a bit of a mixed bag as the 4S screen is smaller along with the battery, but they're cheaper. Some others here PulseOX on all of 4/4s and 4v (Venu)Body Battery Energy Monitor on all new models (not VA3)Yoga, Pilates and Workout animations on all new models (they just look better on the Venu)Respiration rate (day & night) on all new models (not VA3)Automatic golf club tracking (not VA3)Underwater HR via oHR (not VA3)New ELEVATE sensor (not VA3)New Sony low-power GNSS/Galileo chip (not VA3)
