The top power station is £1400, so getting it for £1000 is a great deal, but waaaaay more than almost anyone but the most hardcore camper would need, but I've signed up to get a free power bank anyway…

Phew! Glad it's back online - please report when anyone receives their power bank, this deal will go surface-of-the-sun-hot when they do!

Almost certain there'll be no free powerbanks without using that £400 voucher to make a purchase.

the wording is like one of those facebook riddles which people end up arguing over the answer.. its vague enough that it can be interpreted both ways and everyone be correct.

to me it says sign up to get the £400 voucher, a free powerbank and a pre sale reminder. so signing up should get those 3 items. no mention of a purchase necessary..

but i contacted customer support and even they dont know! but they said they will find out and get back to me within 1 working day.. so i will update as soon as i hear anything..

Note: Your free power bank will be delivered separately from the power station.

You get a free power bank when you order the power station. Nothing is free here.

I signed up for the previous top model, 757, before it came out for its £300 off voucher a few months ago. It was 300 off the purchase price of the 757 when it released. I assume the free powerbank is part of the deal when you enter the code for the purchase of the 767.

This new 767 model will be much larger capacity and more expensive, no way it will be close to £1400 on release. Some websites suggest RRP will be around 2700 euros, which is over £2300. (edited)

Still can't get away from the fact that this is a vast amount of money to spend on a device that stores just £1 worth of electricity.

An email update from Anker today specifically states the power bank comes after purchase of the 767

I'm assuming you might have to buy the power station in order to get the power bank free?

The "your free power back will be delivered separately from your power station" message makes me think you need to make a purchase.
    But we'll see! (edited)

Ditto. But on the other hand it does not exclude the possibility. It could just mean that: the the power houses will ship directly from the factory when they become available. The power banks will ship from our ex-Amazon warehouse. So don't expect them to be delivered together.

Not going to get a lot since your power house is over price, like buying a gold bucket to steal water.

There is no asterisk... it says, Sign up for a £400 coupon, a free power bank and a pre sale reminder. Doesn't say I need to buy one to get the other.

I've screenshotted this, because it definitely does not say we have to buy the power station to get the powerbank.

it holds a whopping two units of electricity, so probably not, it'd cost you more in fuel to lug it to work and back

Headline basically says, register and get three free things: Voucher, powerbank and notification. No reference to need to purchase, nothing in the agreed T&C's referencing the powerbank or voucher. I guess you can argue its an error on their description but equally its clear you get three things without having to buy anything simply for giving them your email address. (edited)

"The top power station is £1400, so getting it for £1000 is a great deal"

WHile true, there is no way this will be the same price a Anker 757 PowerHouse - 1229Wh | 1500W which is £1499
I suspect this new one will be almost £2000 and then you have £400 off of that.

I agree, it's unlikely that the £400 voucher can be used for any products other than the new 767 which is likely to be more than £2000 to start with.

hanks for the deal, looking at it, getting a 2 kWh power station with 1kW solar below £2k is a steal!!

For any EV drivers, yes you can emergency charge your EV. It will give you just a few miles, so defo not worth carrying in the car at all times, but on a long journeys to the Great British Outback* where charging is not always available or working, this can mean the difference between life and boredom of waiting for the flatbed truck.

Looks like most EVs get around 25kWh/100mi, so this would add around 8 miles

No not directly. You'll still need a car battery charger to either plug in to this or the mains...for an ICE car. Or you need your granny charger for an EV but even then it will be slow and not add much. (edited)
