    From a Gooner.

    GG!

We really ran out of steam the last few crucial games but still amazing to be second, 10+1 up above 3rd and give city a decent run for their money.

Next season, hopefully bring in a few places to strengthen the squad and go at city again

You would have taken 2nd before the season started but surely you can't be happy when at 1 point I'm sure you were 11 points clear with a game in hand (edited)

Yes they are "cheats" under the current rules but the system is pathetic. FFP prevents clubs with more ambition from competing if they have less commercial revenue. How does that offer a level playing field? It just keeps the big clubs big, Leicester for example could not invest after winning the league, Everton can't invest because they've spent too much previously, how does it help the sport?

If you want a level playing field, implement a fixed spend cap that any team is allowed to hit, no matter what their commercial revenue is. We should not be blocking clubs with ambitious owners from investing and trying to challenge the status quo, yet defending the big clubs with awful parasitic owners like the Glazers, Levy/ENIC, FSG etc.

I get the sense that City were toying with Arsenal, like a cat toys with a mouse when it's bored and eventually decides to end it's life. City are a mile ahead of every other team in the league and possible ahead of every other club team. They are dynamite (I'm a Man U fan BTW)

Nah. Sadly, Liverpool will finish within one point of Man City next season. Ahead or behind is still slightly in doubt, but probably ahead.

I would like to say I liked watching the collapse of Arsenal at the end of the season but I didn't.

Forest. Brighton. Draws at Southampton & West Ham. 10pts wasted.

    Same old story.

City are on a total different level to everyone else. They've got so much strength and depth and I'll admit I'm rather envious. I fear they will win the treble. Although it will hopefully fire us up to stop them in the FA cup final! I doubt it'll be pretty if we do!

United need to be sold to Qatar for a chance to compete at the same level.

I knew Arsenal would bottle it, they're a relatively young inexperienced side, played some entertaining games. Sure they'd have took a top 4 finish if you'd offered it but they'll be full of what ifs. I doubt they'll be that close in the next couple of seasons etc.

    Congratulations to City, well deserved.

    Yes that hurts!

Utd will be pulled apart in the final, am dreading it

Course as a utd fan I am envious. Very envious. We look like a bunch of rejects next to their top side. Which player from us would fit right into City team? Maybe! Rash.

City are an incredible side. Football is funny so dont presume theyve won the Champs league/FA Cup though.

I think they have hit new heights this season.
Having a goal machine up front hasn't hurt them either.

There was a stat on TalkSPORT the other day, although I’ve not verified it, that in the last 5 or 6 seasons Man City have only dropped 5(?) points in total from their last 10 games in those seasons.
    That’s mad. (edited)
