Sun cream and airport security!

Posted 4th Aug 2023
Currently packing for a holiday and recalling that we can't take sun cream on our flight due to carry-on baggage only. I remember last time we tried to take a part-bottle that was under the limit, but security binned it as the container was still larger than the limit. Then we paid a fortune for more at our destination.

Just wondering what others here do? Do you separate out 100ml batches or just buy more while you are there?

You can do a click and collect from boots at the airport which is past security to take over 100ml bottles as part of carry on.

Don’t overdo it though as you won’t be able to bring any back with you.

I just buy at destination if I'm only taking carry on luggage. If you go out of the tourist Hotspots or walk a few streets the prices are usually cheaper than UK.

If going to Europe most places have large supermarkets or Lidl/Aldi where you can buy sun creams at almost the same price as UK.
