Can you use a Disney Plus code on a lapsed subscription?

I first took out Disney Plus close to 1 year ago. I bought an promotional annual code on ebay.

If I lket the subscription lapse will I be able to use another annual code to get cheap subscription?

If not is there another way to get cheaper subscription?
