Hong Kong to Australia. Happy to stop over Singapore. Flight experiences

I'm going Hong Kong in October. From Hong Kong I'm going to go Australia. I'm happy to fly from Singapore. I wanted an idea on flight costings and what would be a reasonable price to fly? Also what's the airline scoot like? And which part of Australia is best to fly into?
