Wii U battery replacement

Hi everyone, my Wii U gamepad battery is barely giving an hour or so of gameplay nowadays, I just wanted to ask if anyone has replaced theirs recently? And is there one they would recommend, I have seen some on eBay but I am not too sure as I'd be worried about their safety with them most likely being made in China.

If you're worried about the safety of batteries made in China then you need to stop using batteries full stop - because guess where they're all made? The original Nintendo one in your Gamepad will have been made in China.

That's why I got rid of my Wii U and bought a switch instead. You haven't been able to buy an official battery for years. (edited)
