Taking a punt then, hope I’m as lucky as you :D

I feel good ;) In the last 6 months I bought about 20 warehouse products in ORIGINAL PACKAGING and they were new, unused. Mobile phone, monitor, lens had security labels undamaged. Therefore You can return item if You dont like it ;)

makingamieleofit

I bought one of these from amazon warehouse. Hadn’t been used once. Still in original packaging listed as “very good”. Still had the code for free 200 pods as well. Maybe worth a gamble.

Not sure how I feel about a used one (lol)

Machine, 3 boxes of pods and pod holder. This is the mini machine which personally I would prefer due to less counter space being taken up.
pualsg

That's a fair comment. There is definitely waste with plastic.

Grawlz

Only thing that puts me off these is the silly amount of plastic you use with the pods.

phillyboy

Krups machines are excellent, great coffee too, been using mine for 5 years with no issues yet

Chuggee

Worth adding that they also have a sale for all their black coffee varieties at the moment on their own website, until 17th July. Most of the supermarkets seem to be listing the coffee pods at £3.99 too, so worth popping in to buy some.

George_Keddy

Heat added as I really enjoy these coffees and feel that this is a great deal for those looking for a pod machine. Edit. I wanted to add that you can make ice coffee using this machine. (cold water option)

It's gone 11AM, let's talk beer

Wolfmoon810

I like different types of coffee, so don't mind all the preparation like grinding and frothing etc. I found most pre-prepared coffee to be either bitter or stale. Even the strongest coffee beans don't taste half as bitter as some pre-ground stuff. Just depends on how long it's been sitting on the shelf, even in a sealed pack.

Chasloyal

I still use a cafetière myself from time to time but at the end of the day it's very difficult to beat the convenience of a bean to cup machine. I drink my coffee black so don't even bother with all the frothing nonsense although the missus does. I've found toning down the strength takes the bitter edge away on the slightly stronger beans.

Wolfmoon810

True, but I just use a Krups grinder that was twenty quid, a cafetiere, and cheap milk frother for lattes/cappuccinos. I used to use a pod machine, but found a lot of the coffee tasted bitter, was overpriced, and was crap at frothing milk.

Chasloyal

Or even buy a bean to cup machine instead, just putting it out there

Also bought the aldi coffee pods when we picked the machine up from currys, great prices. Have had a tassimo for years and wanted an alternative. With the the 150 pods from nespresso, the 16 free and the 50 aldi pods we picked up it's going to take me a while to get through them. :D

person16

Bought it (y) 53£ for 150 capsules at nespresso and you can claim your free aeroccino with that purchase, great!

frontsys

Bought one of these almost a year ago for £49 and got a free milk frother by online redemption - excellent machine that makes excellent coffee and the milk frother is the ....well froth on the top! We have tried some compatible capsules but the quality of the coffee was not as good as the genuine ones. Given that we don't drink coffee that often, we don't mind paying extra for a really nice coffee. 35p for a pod or £2.00 for an inferior coffee in Starbucks (other coffee shops are available). Buy one and you won't regret it, plus you get a sample pack of pods to get you started on "your coffee journey".

Green_Genie

150 Aldi capsules - £25.35 VonShef Copper Finish Stainless Steel Dual Function Electric Milk Frother - £24.99 (Evening Standard Best Buy) Total - £50.34 (just making a comparison) Great little coffee pod machine @ a fantastic price. I paid £60 for mine from Lakeland nearly a year ago, and like many other owners have tried most pods available. Nespresso pods are excellent, both in quality and range, but VERY expensive, (similar to branded ink cartridges). Taylor's of Harrogate are worth trying, when on offer, as are M&S pods, and ASDA's own brand are quite good, (although do occasionally stick in my machine). I have been disappointed with "coffee shop" branded varieties. Aldi are the best balance between flavour and value, imo. All in all, it's subjective, and down to taste and budget, and how much coffee you drink ! Heat added. <3

barbiegirl

FWIW having like most owners been through the whole Pod research thing I found these to be cheap (20p each), aluminium with a really nice coffee in them. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00IHXQ1QY/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 EDIT: They've gone up to 27p each.

Thank you. I have ordered one. It came to £212.47 with postage. I am on my 2nd Delonghi machine and both have failed within the guarantee period while the 1st failed completely again just after the 2 years was up so I am unlikely to buy one of their machines again. It is very straight forward to make another account on Amazon elsewhere and then place orders as usual.

Ok so I have an Amazon UK account and Virgin Travel CC - how in simple steps do I buy this from Germany please.....

Razi

I am more than happy with my Esam 4200 still I am tempted to buy this beauty. I've got a Dolce Gusto Mini Mi as well so Mrs would definitely kill me if I bought this one. Extremely beautiful to look at compared to my machine. Good reviews and is usually sold for well over £250-£300 therefore a bargain for those who are looking for a bean to cup machine and don't already own one.

Yep, but Option 3 ... even if you drink less than 12 cups of coffee a week, it’s worth pointing out the £216 doesn’t disappear. It’s perpetual (2 year perhaps, can’t recall?) store credit and you only commit to that first 12 months. You can stop after a year, spend the credit a few months later and you still keep the machine. So got to be cheaper than any other deal. Anyway, just my opinion. We ended up drinking too much coffee and I went bean-to-cup when nespresso was costing me £70 every 6 weeks. (excited)

dush_yant

N Most promotions from Nespresso are more or less the same value: A Nespresso Inissia is worth around £50 when on offer (drops to this price every couple of months or so). Option 1: If you buy an Inissia when there is the £40 store credit promotion, then you are essentially saving £40. (good if you just want to make espressos) Option 2: If you buy an Inissia when there is the free Aeroccino when buying 150 capsules promotion, then you are essentially saving £50 since that's the RRP of the Aeroccino (good if you prefer lattes over espressos). Option 3: If you opt for the £18 per month 12 months subscription, you get £18 worth of store credit every month (around 50 drinks which will stack up fast if you are not a regular drinker) and you get the Inissia for £1, so you are essentially saving £49, but you commit to spending £216 on Nespresso in one year.

Jemster

https://www.nespresso.com/uk/en/subscription ^^^^^^^ I gotta say this appealed to me when I was still using my Nespresso machine. A free machine and a subscription for the capsules. You get the full value of the capsules in the subscription money and, provided you are going to stick with Nespresso capsules (they are the best after all), it seems a no-brainer. (Edit: What does HUKD do to links??? That's stuffed up. The correct link is www . nespresso . com / uk / en / subscription)

d10brp

Yes, unless you really need one of these right now, you're better off waiting until the you can get the machine for more or less the same price as the value of vouchers you can use to buy coffee.

adamnsu

I bought it when they were giving out same value of Nespresso vouchers for the price of the machine

Nespresso Krups Vertuo Plus titanium finish - £129 @ John Lewis
Normally £199. Great for a big cup of coffee! Also same on Amazon.
sicourt

I bought one of these this week. It is excellent, really really good. A Nespresso for those that like their coffee in a mug - pods are a bit more expensive than the regular Nespresso, but well worth it. This is also the lowest price I have seen for a Vertuo plus - so not sure why cold.

Don_Mega

Got one from the Amazon France deal, and two months in I’m using it every day. The coffee is really nice, massive amount of creamy froth (I refuse to call it crema). Expensive coffee at 50p a shot (the pods are bar coded for the machine to read / know what size you’ve put in), but it’s a big mug full, not an espresso, and my costa/nero purchases have stopped completely now I’m getting a “treat” coffee at home.

redvers76

Was tempted by one of these when the price was ~£97 on Amazon France... currently £129.99 on Amazon UK, I imagine a price match with John Lewis... For those commenting about pods being more expensive; I'll normally have between 2 and 4 pods in a drink to get a decent size & strength of coffee. From the sample I had in the Nespresso store, I'd only need one pod using the Vertuo system. So yes the pod are more expensive, but I would save money in the long run...

paulwhitehead66

I upgraded to the vertuo, because I like bigger coffees now and again and I love it. The reverso is really nice. Problem is..the pods are expensive and the boxes are bulky

dreamz
