Thanks for this, I'm on the 500Mb and wasn't even aware of this. Was there an official announcement? (edited)

Amazing virgin media still in the stone ages!!!

I've moved to Grain my 500mb package is 500mbs up and 500mbs down and it's only £27 p/m
Also 900mb package is 900mbs up and down and only 38£.

Virgin media is a rip-off (edited)

Great if you have fttp in your area. Many of us have a choice between Virgin Media, or ADSL.

Weird how they didn't push out an automatic restart, normally happens

Virgin Media always gave an upload of 10% the speed of the download. In the days that I was on their 50 Mbps deal that meant a pathetic 5 up, hardly usable for WFH. I contacted VM to ask why and they gave me some garbled logic about the modem needing upgrading and I'd need to upgrade my package too.

Roll on 4 years, still the same reliable Superhub 2 (but my own separate router as always) and as a result of some negotiations with the cancellations dept I'm now on a 100 Mbps deal. Mysteriously the upload recently went from 10 to 20 Mbps, can have been only a few months ago. (edited)
