2nd SSD for Asus PRIME B350M-A recommendation?

Posted 19th May 2023
Hi, can someone recommend an SSD gaming purposes to connect to my current system (Asus PRIME B350M-A Motherboard).
The Samsung 980 PCIe 3.0 (up to 3.500 MB/s) NVMe M.2 Internal Solid State Drive (SSD) looks like it connects directly into the mobo whereas my current SSD connects with a cable.
I'm confused by the number of connection options. According to the mobo spec, there's only one connection for an SSD, which I already have for my boot up/OS drive. Presumably, therefore I'd have to go for the PCI type SSD?Please advise. Thanks.

You have one m.2 slot & 6 sata connections for cables connections that you can use for storage (only 4 work if you use the M.2)

I have 1 SSD and 1 HDD connected.

I want to connect another SSD.

I think you're saying I CAN connect another SSD with a SATA cable.

My original question was slightly different but anyways...

I'm not sure which set of specifications you're referring to but I can't see any mention of only supporting one SSD in the manual:
    asus.com/sup…al/

Generally SSD and HDD primarily refer to the storage technology internal to the drive, not how the drive interfaces with the computer, so it would be unusual to have such a requirement.
