We have two, one upstairs and one downstairs for our twins. Absolute life saver. As previously said it wasn’t mould it was carbon build up by incorrect filters and not following cleaning procedure correctly.

They are well worth a purchase.
Great deal. have the black version for past 5 months. Total god send at 3am with screaming baby.and with 2 filters which would be appreciated 20 quid this is a decent bargain. breastfeeding or bottle is a personal choice and circumstances . mines hated it and preferred bottle and I didn't want him to go without. Each to their own but as far as bargains go.this is a good deal.
I wasn't too fussed when my other half bought one when we had our youngest but tbh it was spot on. Much better than cooling fresh or reheating ready made bottles as it takes out the guesswork.
The mould thing was on watchdog and i thought they said it was carbon and happened when people used cheap filters anyway?
Bought one 3 months ago when on offer, still sat in box boiling kettle probably takes same amount of time
Agree with above comments - life saver! And use only the proper filters, changed regularly

Thanks for the tips everyone. I signed up to Amazon family, tried the (expired) code BABYFAML16 which didn't work. I then went onto the customer services CHAT option. The person I was emailing asked about which product I wanted and then asked me to order it and then manually reduced the price to £45! Perfect prep machine arriving tomorrow at the bargain price of £45 including delivery. Just need to remember to cancel the Amazon family trial! Hope this helps someone else!x

The bottle should already have been thoroughly cleaned prior. Tap water should be fine in this country, maybe different in other countries.Back in the day none of these things existed and humans still exist, so more a scare tactic in my mind. I do have a perfect prep machine but not tried it yet as baby not here yet and looking at sorting the nursery out in the next 2 months.Hope that helps.

oh lol i did wonder...cos seemed logical if you have the tassimo and the disc that makes it a water dispenser as the perfect prep bursts the hot water then it filters cold to fill it (i have one! for gson) Its an excellent thing really-much nicer than the alternative methods-and i like the idea my little gson gets fresh bottles each time even in the night!

For my eldest i batch made and chilled...no-one was ill that way and we were told to use freshly boiled cooled water, i did the same for my youngest and used a 'night and day' feeder which is spot on lol you dont even get out of bed

They need to think of something to clean the bottles now as thats a pain too Good luck with your LO

i'll have a read thanks, as I've done it a few times by just filling up with water and it still goes over, i'd expect it with milk in but not with just water.
edit just read that review on amazon where it says testing with just water it still only just goes over the required oz level.
ours goes over by as much as an oz so i think it must be the bottles we have

When it increases the oz this is due to the milk powder but the machine is still adding the correct water it's just that milk is thicker than water. We have one and it's a brilliant product. There's a main review on Amazon that explains re the oz thing, it's very in depth review but worth reading. Hope this helps:)heat added
