People are paying over 500 for 2nd user 1080ti's like the gaming x trio 1080ti on Ebay. I agree the prices are too high for VGA cards in general, but a decent 2080 is better than a decent 1080ti and has technology that will be very useful in time like DLSS, so whats a 2080 worth? I bought an "openbox unused" MSI gaming X Trio RTX 2080, got it for 600 quid with 12 months warranty. I knew that a lot of people were returning the trio cards as they were physically too big for the users cases. I previously had tried to buy 4 1080ti's on Ebay, non of them worked out. 2 of them cancelled the order after my winning bid claiming the card was no longer available, 1 never turned up at all, and finally one turned up but it looked damaged so I sent it back. But i'm glad that happen now as the gaming X Trio 2080 is a fantastic card, I overclock to "2100" clock speeds and 750 memory, top load temps are 65 C Maybe I should of waited for the 7nm announcements later in the year which some are saying will drop the RTX 20 series prices, but I couldn't wait

Exactly, this isn't your average 2080ti because it's a 2080. I'm saying you can get a Ti for the same price with a little bit of effort, no need to have a go. The overclocking was just a bonus but even so, the extra 25% performance over this isn't to be sniffed at, even at stock clocks.

SO you bought a card for £3 more than this one inc delivery - Overclocked it yourself with another OEM's software and love the result. Congrats you - but quite frankly what on earth does it have to do with this deal? 1: You are hardly representative of avg buyers many of whom would not feel comfortable using original vendor software yet alone another's 3rd party software to overclock. 2: The headset will sell for at least £60 meaning this is £63 cheaper than what you bought from France that has potential warranty issues all over it in the uk 3: IDGAF (d= do) that nvidia pricing is way way over the hill in terms of where it should be. However that's the market and people keep paying it. 4: This isn't your average 2080ti card - it's boost is 1775 mhz.. That's way more than standard cards (1500 - 1650) that cost the same or often more so you are clearly getting better performance ie top end out the box than most 2080ti's offer. Just saying get it in perspective rather than voting down on nvidia's crazy pricing schedule, using software the vast majority won;t and lastly realising this is a faster card than 3/4 of 2080ti's out there.

Gigabyte 2080Ti Gaming OC. Just been tweaking it tonight. Flashed the Galax 380w bios and now have sustained 2050 on the core and 8200 on the (Samsung) memory. Bloody over the moon with it!

Expensive for what it is. You're better of keeping your old one if that's all you need.

quite easy acutally but im not going into that as this is not the time or space for it but im not touching a build it yourself one at all & would never consider it now after that as i dont trust myself to do it plus for me its more time consuming & (more issues inc warranties ect) so looking for something like https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/lenovo-620s-03ikl-intel-core-i3-desktop-pc-1-tb-hdd-silver-10182151-pdt.html or https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/lenovo-ideacentre-620s-intel-core-i5-desktop-pc-1-tb-hdd-silver-10181964-pdt.html or https://www.currys.co.uk/gbuk/computing/desktop-pcs/desktop-pcs/dell-inspiron-3670-intel-core-i5-desktop-pc-1-tb-hdd-black-silver-10189580-pdt.html cause i got a windows 7 pc that runs fine but just fancy something a bit faster & that

Motherboard, case, psu, dvd rw, hdd, cpu cooler and delivery on all parts - i would say a bit more than £350 32 gb ram for £150? Second hand maybe

How did you manage to do that though? One would have to struggle to blow it up. It's easier than a lego tbh... my 6 year old could put one together. As for the deal... the let down are the hard drives. I built one of this specs pc and got to the same price but I have a 6tb wd black, 5 tb toshiba, 1200w evga platinum, 32gb ddr4 dominator, a 32" monitor and corsair keyboard and mouse... the whole thing really from A to Z in this price. And this was when the i9 9900k was released and overpriced same as the rtx 2080... i paid only for this two around £1500 :( Not voted.

I recall when a 1x DVD Burner cost from £600 and that is without inflation which would put it at over a grand. Seems bizarre now when you can buy one for £12 that is much faster also.

Fair enough :) I forgot about them!! Don't see them referred to much on hardware unboxed videos as I guess not fully in production. Maybe that can help... £640 from googling..

Err.. The Radeon VII is comparable to a 2080. Rest of the line up: 1070 = 1660 Ti < Vega 56 < RTX 2060 = Vega 64 This is a decent card though and the recent price drop and included games add value, although BF5 and Anthem are extremely lacklustre. Personally I would just sell those codes.

Has anyone got one yet to confirm if has the free games? Some comments suggest wait a week for email. Comments are mixed for more than one gpu as well. Edit just seen on link it says promotion... And click on it and it mentions three games. Shall I pull trigger??? Don't need it but want it. Currently have a grx 1070 and a 4k TV. It is fine if dial settings to medium 4k or 1440p but Ghost Recon Wildlands needs something stronger.... So have been looking at 2nd hand 1080tis until now. When will AMD provide competiton at this sector? Rx vega only competes with 1070 :(

It has a 12 Month warranty, so you should be covered in case it breaks down.

if I recall its because the memory was running too fast, underclocking the memory solved this as far as I am aware.

Its mostly about micron memory, however i witnesed Samsung failing very similar way with artifacting.

youd have to be mad to spend this much on a refurb this soon after release imo. asus arent exactly known for fixing things either.

Cold considering you can get a new 2080 for just over 600 delivered from ocuk

Heat from me - no idea why these failed in the first place, but Asus certainly would have done a good job remediating the issue or returned - coil whine - no quicker than a 1080ti

One of the top 2080 TI card at decent price, brand new with bonus free 3 RTX games, if you have a very account with enough credit limit. Dispatched directly from manufacture.

Fair enough it's a deal in regards to it being cheaper than normal. But price per performance is definitely not worth it.

Good price for those looking for an RTX 2080ti. I have one of the Palit RTX2080ti and it powers my VR games great. Was hoping that Oculus would go next gen VR this year but nevermind. I personally would get it for Ray tracing or DLSS, but if you need extra GPU power then sadly only way to go. IE: 4k gaming or VR or 3440x1440.

Thanks for the response. I was considering an upgrade but I may now wait for the next gen to come along before spending.

Honestly, I haven't used Ray Tracing or DLSS once. It's available on so few games that unless you go out of your way to play them you can easily play 99.9% of games out and not ever use them. I've had a Strix (Died after 2 weeks) a Trio and a Gigabyte card and they have all been louder than I expected, even the ones with a 1kg+ heatsink; undervolting didn't help too much. This is why I strongly suggest anyone thinking of getting a 2080ti gets a triple slot, cooling 250-300 watts is not quiet, if you're using an ITX case then an AIO would be highly recommended. Personally Turing has been nothing but a disappointment to me and I've gradually downgraded from a 2080ti to a 2080 and now looking at 1080ti's.

Those are both good points. Personally I don’t look at triple slot cards as I like to build ITX machines, but I can see how an extra fan and deeper heatsink could significantly reduce both noise and temperatures on these cards. Have you found much use from the RTX’s new features?

Got one form mentioned Amazon deal. If that is a Ventus (V1) not recent "facelift" it is a good deal. Card is based on FE reference board (as most of the cards released short after announcement) and got good Samsung GDDR6. Boosts over 2000MHz and its silent (no coil whine). Full load temps reach ~80°C and the fan noise is acceptable. You can also sell game coupon as I did and save extra £40. New Ventus V2 is the other story though - its smaller, cost cutting version.

This is a reasonable deal, unless you have a time machine or you are willing to wait for Amazon to maybe drop the price again, this is the best price you can pay for this card at the moment. People are idiots though apparently!

I think I paid about £320 just over a year ago.

Must be some kind of conspiracy as this e-buyer ex display version of the same thing didn't go negative: https://www.hotukdeals.com/deals/msi-geforce-rtx-2080-ex-display-60509-ebuyer-3202901. I'd rather have new for a few £ more delivered. Amazons price has only been down like twice and both times not for very long before they changed it. Even if prepared to wait for them to drop it again you'd need to be lucky to catch it.

It's a good price, I think people are voting cold because it's high in comparison to the £544 price recently. £544 was anomaly that lasted about 30 minutes so the comparison's not really fair. I've got one of these cards and so far it's good. Just a no-frills 2080. Mostly all that's missing over the more expensive cards is RGB and an overclock.

Sorry but cold, this was new at Amazon recently for £544 with 3 game codes and a normal warranty.

£500-550 I'll buy but £600+ for a budget model... GPU prices are crazy!

Yep. Questionable warranty given it's only ex display.

Its only 90 days warranty for it at least description says so. No RTX bundle code as its probably a customer return. I'm sorry, but thats not a good deal in my opinion. Not for £605 with known GDDR6 problems

That sounds perfect if your pulling that framerate at ultra. (y)

17.3 Really small bezel so it makes the screen seem even bigger but overall the laptop is barely bigger than the 15" Asus I upgraded from, so no need to change my rucksack etc.

Timespy I got 7154 I think it was. Game wise I've played Sekiro, division 2 and metro exodus so far. Sekiro and division 2 are fully maxed out and 60fps. Metro exodus just dips below 60 here and there at ultra with all bells and whistles. Metro games are always bloody power hungry. They all look great though. Noise wise you definitely hear it when the fans kick in but I don't think I've ever had a gaming laptop that's quiet in the 7 that I've owned. I wear headphones anyway so it's all moot.

Is there a list of RTX 2080s that have fans that turn off under low loads? I had a bit of a look, but...

I ordered 2 at 544 last time and they both came. Maybe you were just unlucky?

Looks like the price is 659 when I follow the link. When amazon last sold RTX 2080 cards at approx £550 I ordered one. When the item finally came in stock they just cancelled my order and said I could re-order it if I wished. At which point the Amazon price was £700 ! So for people that missed this offer, you probably didn't miss anything ! Sadly too good to be true.

I got my self EVGA 2080 XC, initially the temps was reaching 78C set my fan curve manually was maxing out at 70C only. Then also Undervolted and overclocked same FPS in games and card only runs 65C max ever noticed in very demanding games. Usually stay at 60C on full load

I see. I would have suggested altering fan curve but loud at 74c doesn't fill me with hope.

no, 1080 ti HOF is the fastest https://hwbot.org/benchmarks/world_records

A 2080Ti is fastest.

The price is 622. Can someone edit this please as I cant any more.

The Second hand prices on 1080Ti's are far too high atm, with the RTX2080 being a faster card, and likely to get even quicker as new games with DLSS are released. It's also going to hold its value longer and be more future proof . If you have a 1080Ti it's not worth upgrading, but if like me you are looking the extra £150 or so for the newer card makes much more sense.

I told him to wait 4 years for a used one by then Nvidia will probably stop support also lol What's faster a 1080ti or 2080? 1080ti @ 2100MHz

Was surprised to see this so low. Was originally looking for a 2070, but this really draws the card prices closer together.

I got the codes. Nvidia said they were valid. But they would not be accepted in gforce experience. After several days with nvidia trying to sort it they last sent me an email that if they dont hear from me in 72 hours they will assume its working and now they are ignoring my emails. So I am sending card back.

I had to contact Ebuyer regarding the codes, cause i didnt receive the code during those 5 days. Just email the vendor that you bought your card from, they will have to sort this out for you. Nvidia wont be able to get the codes for you, unless you bought it from them directly.

@rufioh I had problems with them too, but last 3 deliveries i had the same guy making deliveries. Was on point with them.

Not sure if I mentioned above, but my address is really difficult to find for people who just follow sat nav then give up. So it's something I have to take into account, but most people will likely be ok. Having said that, I've had issues with Yodel at previous addresses too. The retailer from which you bought the card should send you a code (or two or three) to use in the Geforce Experience app. Did you get the codes? If not, check with your retailer, and hope that they were part of the promotion.

Did you get your free games. I bought 2080 ventus and cannot get games. Been over a week with nvidia trying different attempts but nothing yet.

great price for a 2080 card regardless of the type of cooler you could alway buy a AIO cooler for under £100 used

Amd is no competition for nvidia, prices dropped because the pascal stock has evaporated as it was bound to happen when nvidia priced turing one step above them. I wouldn't expect further price drops on 2080 till the new generation comes out. 2080ti on the other hand are disappearing like hotcakes, so they increased more in price since release

Got to agree. They've literally compared the radeon vii to the 2080 and its mixed. If the vii was a hundred or more less then great, but at the same price, what's the point? I'd love to see a crash in gpu prices but it's obviously not on the cards. This is most likely the best we'll get for a while.

After the dissapoinment that Vega was for me atleast i would not hold my breath

Lowering price based on competition is just standard business. It's not a mystery.

This is the price the 2080ti should be. Nvidia know it too. It's why you can't buy 1080ti's for love nor money atm. I paid over the odds for my 1080ti FTW3, (thanks Bitcoin miners!) but on reflection, I'm damn glad I did. Almost fell for "wait for next series to come out" spiel. Prices for current range are a total insult when considering price to performance increases over last generation. + The gimmick of making everything nice and reflective/shiny .. excellent .. what's that you say? 30fps? Oh, nvm. Also insulting.

Would the extra be any better for VR? If so the low RAM on the 2080 would make the 7 a better choice for that

16GB is overkill for a "gaming card" imo.. Would of rathered 8GB and a lower price. Ray tracing and DLSS are a bit of a no show atm though...

Hold out for the reviews, and then see how it all affects the prices. Radeon 7 should be around the £650 - £670 mark if retailers don't inflate prices. AMD reference boards are always solid too, and this time it has a decent cooler on top, plus even if you don't want the 3 free games you can sell them for around £50 on fleabay. If VII is anything like current Vega, then undervolting should greatly help performance (lower temps/power consumption and OC headroom).

That's bs. I've bought hundreds of items through them over the years. Never had an issue with RMA's either. Edit: if you're gonna be bold with your dissing I'm more than content with being bold with my correction, lol.

My bank auto applies £10 flat rate before even getting to currency conversion. Shame you can't pay via bank transfer via Transferwise. EVGA direct is a no go for me.

I didn't know that would happened but trying it out just now, the best option is to add the currency Euro to your list of currencies in PayPal and on the checkout page, select "View currency conversion options", switch it to Euro and either use a Multi Currency card that doesn't charge for currency conversion or see what the rate is of your bank and use that if more favourable.

Same here. I'm out.

No, when you click the link, scroll down to the bottom of the page. They have a few different offers on the same page though this was the best one.
