This is probably not relevant but I've got Google ear buds which recently started being alot lower. Checked software. Reset features, nothing worked. Turns out it was ear wax on the tiny amp. So I used a soft tooth brush to gently get rid of it. Might be an alternative if you don't have wipes or would rather not use them.

No, a toilet wipe is not the same as a baby wipe.

Toilet wipes contain lots of chemicals which I would imagine don't play nicely with the plastic of the hearing aid, nor your ear.

Even the ones used to clean your bum (which is what the poster is referring to)? I thought it was just water and maybe a bit of moisturiser in them. Can’t imagine there’d be any harsh chemicals in those. (edited)

My wife has hearing aids. They need to be cleaned and looked after VERY carefully. Simply do what you have been told to do - I am surprised you were not given a demo on how to clean and some free samples.

As somebody else mentioned above, hearing aids need to be cleaned carefully - to protect the device and also the health of your ears, as bacteria growth can lead to unpleasant ear infections. Using improper cleaning products can damage the hearing aid so I would avoid using wipes not designed for cleaning the equipment. You can buy Phonak C&C wipes which are specifically designed for the safe cleaning of hearing aids - Connevans and Boots hearingcare both sell them.
