Help needed for relocating to Milton Keynes

Posted 7th Jun 2023
Hi All,

We are a family of three. Me, my wife and my 3 month old daughter. My wife found a job in MK14 6GY so we need to relocate.

We are trying to understand the best place to live and need hukd community help in the best location.

Ideal location will be within a mile from the following. Looking to rent 2 bedroom property.

1. Parks
2. Children centre
3. Tesco or aldi or lidl or asda within walking distance (less than a mile)
4. Indian stores/ Asian grocery stores
5. The bus stops in the walking distance so that my wife can go to her work easily.

I am new to this location and will be thankful for any tips or advice you may have.

lots to do around milton keynes, depends on budget etc - I work here, but live in bedford - so commute daily - your not far from where I work, im in the MK11 area and drive past that area. I've been here since 2009.

Shops wise there is always something nearby ish as that was the point of milton keynes.

There are lots of supermarkets around.

Lots of things for kids to do.

Keep away from Netherfield (its not the nicest of places).

Milton Keynes has lots of new builds all over the outskirts, and lots of older properties closer to the town.

if you want traditional living try looking at Newport Pagnell as its down the road from there, although has a tiny high street.

If you want to stick to Milton Keynes then get onto Facebook or Nextdoor and join one of the groups related to the area.

Message me if you need any further help.

Try putting your detailed requirements into local estate agents and see what they come up with. By all means use rightmove, zoopla, etc as a way of research - and of course good old google maps and streetview can be useful.

What I would suggest, just go there for a weekend trip and drive around area.

Obviously everything depends what kind of budget you will have for renting and you need to keep in mind that price can be really vary depending of area.

Minton have really great grid of roads but of course they also can be really busy on certain hours, so keep this in you mind.
