Hey Folks
I was browsing for a iPhone 14 deal and came across this lease option on Affordable Mobiles
here.
You pay monthly for 24 months £32.99.
Once the period is over, you can then chose to Upgrade (and return the device) OR Keep the phone (and pay an one-off cost).
Does anyone know if this is worth it?
As paying monthly for the device means you have to find a sim card separately… So if you pay for a sim £10+, maybe its just worth going for a normal contract for the same amount?
To be honest I was going to wait for the Black Friday Deals coming up but its a gamble. I was hoping to go with Virgin Media and get with the Airpods (3rd Gen) deal
here but I’m doubtful there will be any price cut on this one.
I might be living under a rock but I’ve never seen this lease deal before. Maybe it could work out cheaper if you find a good sim deal AND if you are someone who likes an upgrade.
Whats everyones thoughts??

£31.20 per month for the iphone 13 (£749 total)
Personally, I would choose the iPhone 13. There is not much difference between the two phones, it is cheaper than your monthly lease deal and you own it outright at the end of 2 years.
You Lease for the iPhone 14 is £32.99.per month (£791.76) and at the end of 24 months you have two options,
- You have the option to pay them £212.99 to keep the phone (£791.76+212.99=£1004.75 total)
OR
- You have to keep paying the £32.99 until the end of year 4 (£1583.52) - and then pay them £1 to keep the phone (ie £1584.52 total for a phone that apple would sell you for £849 !!!! ) (edited)
