Repairing concrete floor around patio door

Posted 26th Aug 2023 (Posted 10 h, 48 m ago)
Hoping for some advice regarding repair to a concrete floor along a patio door.

I've removed most of the loose debris for now and, come tomorrow, plan on filling that area with a ballast (5)/cement (1) mix making sure to get under the patio door frame where necessary.

Also, the area is very slightly wet and ants have built a nest underneath suggesting external gaps which I plan to fill once the internal repair has dried.

Does this sound right? As a learner DIY'er thought I'd ask here in case I'm missing anything obvious.

(I can provide additional images if required)

TIA

You can buy tubs of ready mixed cement, perhaps also a layer of damp proof membrane between the patio door & floor to stop any bridging of damp/water ingress.
That's about my sum total of DIY, I'm sure someone with more knowledge will come along. (edited)

Would it not be better to do the outside part first?
