But the prints are 46 x 62mm image size, that's under 2" x less than 2.5" !
My sister has one of these cameras and when she was visiting she would take just one photo a day due to the cost. What I liked about that though was focusing on putting the care into taking the shot whereas with digital you just rattle off all manner of shots.
Yepp! A surprising amount of people still do... obviously I’ll use an iPhone if I need to grab a quick photo on the go, but for ‘arty’ stuff you can’t beat film.
so you still use a film camera then?
It’s a photographer thing... lol film has a different look to digital

But the 'kids' are unlikely to be paying the c£1 per disappointing shot.
I think you are missing the point here. Yes, the picture quality isn't the best but it's selling point is the fun/instant factor. Let me tell you, kids LOVE it! These camera's are also great for birthday/weddings as good entertainment.
£0.75/shot. You've got to be crazy.
My 9 year old daughter loves hers. It comes with different fun lenses and frames. Only need 2 AA batteries.

instax Mini 9 Clear Camera with 10 shots - £41.63 @ Amazon£41.63Amazon Deals
Instax , just looked and they've really gone up in price though.
I bought the little printer, I print from the smart phone and the quality is a bit better, thought I'd mention as an option.
@davemhaynes Depends what you define as expensive 20 shots for about £15 and 50 shots for about £35. Some people are happy to pay that others not. I think a lot of people get the cameras without realising the film is costly. @let06sun The 11 is newer model and preforms better in low light. It is fully automatic no exposure settings. The 9 has a dial you turn to match the lighting situation indoors outdoors bright the 11 chooses automatically this is a pro and a con. The 11 has a built in close up lens / selfie mode the 9 you need to add an attachment (included). Check YouTube there are lots of comparison videos.
Think 11 is a newer version it has a selfie mode option an maybe few other features

I have one and I love it. Only get it out for special occasions though
Was fun for a while but the film is so expensive (especially for the amount of silly snaps a 7 year old wants to take!) My daughter's is going up for sale!
Instax after Canon's ZINK paper is the cheapest option in terms of instant photography. Be it Instax Wide or Square, they are about the same price. The problem is sub-par cameras themselves - the film itself is great. One good but expensive option is Fuji Instax Wide 500 AF, old camera from 1999 via ebay from Japan, comes ~£250, but has autofocus and flash can be turned off - unlike the new dumb models.
Okay camera. Film is redicliusly expensive. Costs nearly £1 per photo!
You should stick it all back in the box and sell it on, yeah kids can be like that :)
My daughter was desperate for this last year. Novelty wore off after a week and it hasn't been bothered with since (annoyed)
You can usualy get the film on deal and bear in mind you dont have to pay for developing, i wouldnt say you would use on a daily basis, my grandaughter used hers on a school trip to france and loved it, loads of memories hung on her wall, priceless
Seems extortionate and it's the reason I wouldn't buy one.
This was on gadget show on Friday and they rated it number one against a kodak and Polaroid that were more expensive
Does not working for me and I’ve signed up??
just got the SQ20 for £90 off Amazon Wharehouse which is a digital instax camera so only print the ones you want and obviously can change exposure etc. https://youtu.be/6zZXKKfaZbc https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6zZXKKfaZbc
Paid £37 for one from UO a few years ago. Definitely a novelty and photo quality is terrible. Don't waste your money- go for a printer instead

They are incredibly slow. Ive emailed them 11 times now.... Im thinking about paying them a visit.
I had a refund last week as they said it was OOS after I emailed them to ask why it wasn’t on my dispatch email :-(
Ordered mine on 29th Nov. - still no package, no repsonse from Skinnydip either. Anyone else having this issue?
I ordered mine Saturday afternoon and was delivered with Hermes yesterday
Has anyone received this. I ordered in the early hours of Sunday morning and had a dispatch email today and the printer was missing. Emailed this morning to ask what was going on and it’s OOS so won’t be getting one 😔
