Hearsay is that the supplied tyres are great apart from in the wet. Id also look to stick gp4000s on as I have complete confidence in them in all conditions. Please let me know how you get on. Enjoy.
Hard to say as I haven't cycled on them but they are not as deep of a rim and they are lighter (by 220g), potentially more stiff. Are these tyres tubeless? Hard to tell. Was going to stick my GP4000 II tyres on it but if these are tubeless I might stick with these and see how I get on. Never used tubeless previously.
How do they compare to the cosmic elites? Would be good to know even if the deal is expired. Anyone running these with clinchers rather than the supplied tubeless ( lots of Pros but not good in the wet from reading around)? Thanks in advance.
Showing as back in stock, not sure for how long though!
Seem to be back in stock
I mainly ride Peaks Pennines and Dales it’s the same demographic, likely to be a few more casualties with the uncertainty of brexit 1, the key components valued in US dollars 2, import / export changed And potential weaker economy
I was going to say. Go to Bikepark Wales. Average bike price £4000+. Average age 40+ All the kids are riding hardtail or second hand stuff. Bike industry is choking itself. The bubble is about to burst if it hasn't done so already. No amount of new tech releases is going to change that.
Yeah it’s a shame, pricing kids out of the market really, where I ride it’s mainly middle aged men like myself (strong)
I can sort of understand when you start throwing motors and engine in to the mix but I had no idea they went to that kind of money!
Not at all, road bikes can hit £10k quite happily.. Seems to be Allot of new tech in the mtb industry at present such as ebikes/Engines , Fox live suspension system launched a few weeks ago now that is crazy money bikes upto 12.5
£698.39 now for the onyx....
Any one pls confirm is it cover UK warranty
Good to have a warranty option on DJI drones
£698.39 if you take a white one..
Totally agree with personal experience, for me eGlobal also proved to be no good. Having ordered the note 8 from Toby Deals and eGlobal, at different times. Both unable to fulfil the order, but both giving similar excuses. Claiming no stock, although both websites showing in stock, and continue to take orders. Then go on to say they were sourcing my phone from supplier, but I'd have to wait 4 weeks, which I wasn't prepared to do. Warranty issues also do not concern me, I've never had to claim on anything, so that's a risk I was happy to take, but people will argue that till the cows come home ;)
@Joe2319 , can you please message me the code as wel?
I can't see this deal, has it ended?
@Joe2319 would you be able to DM me a code please ?
Can never understand why people are so willing to buy expensive products like these from questionable channels where quality, warranty and return issues can arise. Crazy.
Scam? Care to explain?
The Mavic 2 Pro Fly More Combo is £1,578 and the Mavic 2 Zoom Fly More Combo is £1,378
Agreed the Mavic 2 is roughly 100 more! (y)
My bad - too many versions too keep up with!
Guys you do realise this deal is for the Pro and not the Air? :/ ;)
I have the Fly More Combo, but this extra battery is still tempting at this price! Heat.
So tempted... But must resist
Thanks for posting, mbd (y)
Just paid 69 for it about 5days ago always the way. Best price around so far ,heat added.
That’s a shame! I hope I don’t have to deal with them. Fortunately mine came with loads of different cables and flies well.
Scan have poor customer service. As I said before, mine came without the USB leads for the controller apart from the iPhone cable. They finally sent me the missing cables. Or at least just the one, micro usb... I clearly stated I needed the USB C one on the phone and he said he would send both the C and Micro, since then I've opened a second ticket. Still no reply from either of my emails. Useless. I feel they should at least refund me my postage as I had to pay for that and for it to arrive with items missing.
Hi Jimbob, just noticed they've got them on for 549.99 now with free delivery, after having used it for some time now, would you recommend it?
It must be one that’s never registered or flown but box been opened.
Mine was grade B, looked as new when with all original stickers etc, can’t imagine what grade A looks like!
Sadly you wouldn't. DJI only has third party support here in Korea too, and there's no DJI care refresh on offer either.
£106 cheaper than Amazon and in stock so I'm giving it a HOT! (cheeky) Black available for same price, red £811.79.
Don't think we would get support in the UK, if we bought from Korea? Sounds like a great price
Great first deal anishjoshi10, thank you for posting I too have contacted MoreComputers and they have also confirmed the Mavic Airs are "all stock is purchased from an authorized UK distributor" which is good to know. I have no idea why this is getting cold votes as this is the cheapest option available for all colors, especially the flaming red Also reading some reviews about this seller, some orders have been upgraded from 5 day Free to next day which I think is great After some careful digging I decided on the black, Red looks too plastic cheap, more of a toy looking and that gloss finish is a magnet for finger prints and scratches. The White will end up being covered in Bloody splatters from all the bugs being shredded by the blades. This is why I have ended up ordering the Black Onyx, looks good with the Matt and more stealthy looking :) Although everyone has their own reasons and tastes
Amazon do have good customer service when you get the right one you can understand as most are based over seas with strong foreign accents and it takes twice as long with them. Much prefer a UK based company who have staff here.
For those of you that purchased the Drone in Euros. How much did your bank charge for service?
I was planning on selling the googles too, but after knowing that you can plug in any HDMi source, I'm thinking to use it for gaming or possibly watching films. The resolution is one of the best on the market it seems. Has anyone found any good deals for getting extra batteries and the smart charger?
you will get £300 for the goggles, I sold mine on ebay due to the fact I will only use them every blue moon and they are not so portable to carry if traveling. having said that I was tempted to keep them as they do look amazing and if I want to try them out later I am sure I can pick up a pair of used ones for much less 6 -12 months later.
So the question is to keep the Goggles or sell them? If I am honest I was hoping to purchase the fly more pack with the Air at a reduced cost after the now delayed launch of 'Mavic 2'. Not really ever used anything like the Goggles before and was thinking of selling them for £200+ and obtaining an extra battery or 2. What are you guys doing and what would you suggest?
Just to give you a heads up the price has come down £806.91 on Amazon
Mavic air only came out in early 2018, so i very much doubt this
Sounds like you would be better with the Spark. The Flymore pack is £499 on Amazon currently. It’s a tough little drone that can stand up to a bit of abuse and it still gives excellent results.
I am thinking of buying one of these for my son but which is best the Parrot, Mavic or DJI Phatntom IV??? i CAN SEE HIM CRASHING AND LOSING IT SO WHAT IS THE INSURANCE ON these things like if you can get it that is?
Amazon Prime day in a few weeks. Have a feeling we will see a further £100 off these
Cheers ordered a couple. I hope these fit my bizango!
It wasn't Marathon pluses it was a more budget Marathon tyre and it was some years ago. I think they were something like £4.99 to £7.99 in a sale at wiggle but I think full price was only about £14.99 each. They weren't great tyres and quite light. It wasn't a huge number of years ago but I don't think tubeless was a thing at the time. It's a confusing line up with many of their tyres called Marathon. They looked more like the Marathon supreme or City Jets but had a lighter colour sidewall. The tyres that replaced them were a cheaper generic brand and much better tyres but heavier with it.
That's curious, I'd heard the marathon pluses had sidewalls thick enough to work for a tubeless setup. Ah well, off topic but I need to take a tape measure to my rims as I can't find sizing information. They're labelled cannondale C2, came with 700x40C tyres and are quite deep but that's about it. Would love to fit some even bigger tyres on for comfort though the 40Cs aren't bad.
I had some schwalbe marathon's and while the tyre tread area was thick the sidewalls were quite thin and I had problems with the tyres as the sidewalls perished before the main tread that you would expect. Some of the generic cheap tyres have quite thick sidewalls. I'm thinking perhaps the thin sidewalls aid tyre rim compatibility. The chart I linked to is a definitely a general good guide to compatibility and safe use.
I've been looking to answer the same question FunkiestMonkey and so long as you have clearance at the forks, no mudguards to get in the way you can use a tyre as wide as you like, e.g. this thread where someone uses 2.25" tyres on a 14mm inner diameter rim The greater the mismatch between rims and wheel the greater the chance of you attempting a turn and having your tyre make it while you continue onward without a front tyre. This also says nothing of rim and bike strength, as bonzobanana says if you want to land a 2 metre drop on a road bike with no suspension but a fat tyre you probably won't have a bike afterwards.
£764 from Currys if you get them to price match and pay by vouchers if you have access to perkbox
Cheaper in red here, unless I am missing something http://www.morecomputers.com/product.aspx?pn=CP.PT.00000172.01&man=DJI
£809 Amazon via prime
Hope lots of people grabbed a copy of this, at £13 as it is not back and selling again at the £22 price (worldcup)
I wasn’t asking you to
Yes I will do that with my £5k Inspire 2.. not!!! (shock)
Yeah but once you use fake gps app then you can trick it into fcc mode and get better signal and range
Hello, did anyone purchase one of these? Are they brand new and packaged as standard, theres not much info on the site. The black on is currently £602 on there website so with TCB would come to £552.
That might be printed in the t’s and c’s but I was talking about real world and what happened when I actually used it.
I wonder how they define “region”. What about those who live in the UK but who bought from Amazon Italy
Taken from DJI FAQ. DJI Care Refresh and the corresponding product must be purchased from the same country or region. DJI Care Refresh only supports aircraft purchased from official or authorized channels, and its benefits are only eligible in the region where it was purchased. DJI will cover shipping fees only in the country or region where DJI Care Refresh was purchased. Otherwise, the customer will bear responsibility any shipping and customs fees caused by sending the product from another region. DJI has the right to refuse service in this circumstance. For the Mavic series and Spark,
I highly doubt DJI will feel threatened by Parrot.
Order has been dispatched! :)
You didn't even give my channel a proper look as you comment about 9 videos from Bournemouth where I have videos from other places like France, Poland and Colombia and a lot more closer to home. None of my video is of empty spaces. You arguments are mute. I get that this may come from a frustration that you can't do all you would like with your drone, but that's a price you have to pay for living in a organizer society.
There's obviously not much point in discussing this with you if you're just going to make the same points over and over again without listening to what people say. By the way, shocking as it seems, threre's more to life than what you see on YouTube :)
There’s a beautiful world out there, with no police or people.
You could be right but you can only record miles and miles of empty space before it gets boring. Like I said, just have a browse through youtube, as soon as the police catch you flying a drone in a populated space they either arrest you or tell you to put it away.
You seem to have an incredibly narrow and unimaginative view of what makes good photography and video. If you want to fly in public spaces all you have to do is get the necessary commercial qualification and insurance. The police will only arrest you if you're breaking the law and / or putting the public in danger, which is where most of the people flying over dense cities go wrong.
Did any of you experience any issues after buying the refurb and what did you get in the box? I've just bought an official refurb off ebay so wanted to make sure I get the same contents as those on here who bought from Scan.
Yes, I ordered a refurbished DJI spark from Scan 2 weeks ago. Was already registered so had to record a video showing the drone is working etc.. https://repair.dji.com/en/djicare/customerupload
Can you add a DJI refresh policy to a DJI Refurbished item?
Thanks, I have ordered after reading your comment.
Just purchased one; much cheaper than buying 2nd hand. Managed to get free delivery so 549.00 all in with 12 months warranty according to the advisor and weblink.
Lol just sold my mavic air for £790 on ebay wasn’t even combo.
Do you have a link to this?
After having DJI refresh on my Pro and Air in recent years... this time I will just go with photoguard insurance which is £28 per year. From what I gathered on facebook, when people crashed their Mavic they got brand new replacements and Photoguard paid out with no issues/paid for any repairs. DJI Refresh is nothing more than an extended warranty and there are so many exclusions... IMHO photoguard cover plus insuring your drone under tech pack from Barclays or your own bank is more than enough. Regarding registering your refurbished drone, you can still get DJI care on a used unit, just have to record a video showing that it's fully working and upload it to DJI.
I like your style
1st time flyer, as well as my 14 year old son. My reason to buy was for his photography course at school, well, that's what I told the wife. 🙈🙉🙊
I’ve never flown one before so hoping I can get to grips with it in beginner mode.........it only has front and back sensitise doesn’t it? I didn’t realise the DJI care package has an excess for each replacement you claim. And more expensive for the second than the first. I’m not sure what extras I really gain with the care package over and above the standard warranty really
I've flown drones before.l flew the mavic pro for 4 months last year and the platinum for 2 months this year and now on the mavic air. I'll definitely take it steady with the air as its light and drifts a little. The sensors should of detected the wall but it was drifting side ways into it :D
Phew at least the drone wasn't damaged ;-) hehe Are you and Shaggy both first time drone fliers or have you flown others before? im testing mine out the weekend
