That might be printed in the t’s and c’s but I was talking about real world and what happened when I actually used it.

Rastafari

I wonder how they define “region”. What about those who live in the UK but who bought from Amazon Italy

BainzyA

Taken from DJI FAQ. DJI Care Refresh and the corresponding product must be purchased from the same country or region. DJI Care Refresh only supports aircraft purchased from official or authorized channels, and its benefits are only eligible in the region where it was purchased. DJI will cover shipping fees only in the country or region where DJI Care Refresh was purchased. Otherwise, the customer will bear responsibility any shipping and customs fees caused by sending the product from another region. DJI has the right to refuse service in this circumstance. For the Mavic series and Spark,

I highly doubt DJI will feel threatened by Parrot.

You didn't even give my channel a proper look as you comment about 9 videos from Bournemouth where I have videos from other places like France, Poland and Colombia and a lot more closer to home. None of my video is of empty spaces. You arguments are mute. I get that this may come from a frustration that you can't do all you would like with your drone, but that's a price you have to pay for living in a organizer society.

FinbarMcDougal

There's obviously not much point in discussing this with you if you're just going to make the same points over and over again without listening to what people say. By the way, shocking as it seems, threre's more to life than what you see on YouTube :)

TBC15

There’s a beautiful world out there, with no police or people.

Flee_wood

You could be right but you can only record miles and miles of empty space before it gets boring. Like I said, just have a browse through youtube, as soon as the police catch you flying a drone in a populated space they either arrest you or tell you to put it away.

FinbarMcDougal

You seem to have an incredibly narrow and unimaginative view of what makes good photography and video. If you want to fly in public spaces all you have to do is get the necessary commercial qualification and insurance. The police will only arrest you if you're breaking the law and / or putting the public in danger, which is where most of the people flying over dense cities go wrong.

Jon_Snow

Thanks, I have ordered after reading your comment.

russwuss

Just purchased one; much cheaper than buying 2nd hand. Managed to get free delivery so 549.00 all in with 12 months warranty according to the advisor and weblink.

Jon_Snow

In the Q&A it says the 3 month warranty is from DJI. That's very limited. > This listing is for the drone/controller only. We do not have specific details of the refurbishment as they are manufacture refurbished and we have numerous units that may differ in refurbishment. These drones come with a 3 month warranty direct with DJI.

Leepox

I too am interested in this. I just bought one after months of holding it off. Also wondering what the warranty is gonna be like, Scan website says 3 months. The manufacturer's warranty should be 12 months no?

MrDB

The Mavic air shoots 4k at 30fps.

After having DJI refresh on my Pro and Air in recent years... this time I will just go with photoguard insurance which is £28 per year. From what I gathered on facebook, when people crashed their Mavic they got brand new replacements and Photoguard paid out with no issues/paid for any repairs. DJI Refresh is nothing more than an extended warranty and there are so many exclusions... IMHO photoguard cover plus insuring your drone under tech pack from Barclays or your own bank is more than enough. Regarding registering your refurbished drone, you can still get DJI care on a used unit, just have to record a video showing that it's fully working and upload it to DJI.

S_h_a_g_g_y

1st time flyer, as well as my 14 year old son. My reason to buy was for his photography course at school, well, that's what I told the wife. 🙈🙉🙊

willeymunda

I’ve never flown one before so hoping I can get to grips with it in beginner mode.........it only has front and back sensitise doesn’t it? I didn’t realise the DJI care package has an excess for each replacement you claim. And more expensive for the second than the first. I’m not sure what extras I really gain with the care package over and above the standard warranty really

dunny06

I've flown drones before.l flew the mavic pro for 4 months last year and the platinum for 2 months this year and now on the mavic air. I'll definitely take it steady with the air as its light and drifts a little. The sensors should of detected the wall but it was drifting side ways into it :D

willeymunda

Phew at least the drone wasn't damaged ;-) hehe Are you and Shaggy both first time drone fliers or have you flown others before? im testing mine out the weekend

the-bunker

I guess the platinum is a bit quieter than the Mavic Pro with Platinum props, but only at close quarters could you tell the difference - as soon as you get about 10 metres away of more you could not tell the difference.

cava83

From the angle in your avatar, where can we sign up? :)

omendata

And a blowjob every day! (devil)

cava83

Hi, thanks for the reply. So do you think apart from the flight time being a little bit more, the motors emit the same noise as in the pro, it's just the oscillation from the props? If so, then that makes my mind up, just to get the pro :)

the-bunker

Only go for the combo if - you need more than 1 battery (most will), you want the bag (which is useful) & you can get the combo for about £100-£150 more than the Mavic Pro on it's own; otherwise you can buy these parts easily & personally I don't need 3 batteries, 2 is enough. It's not really worth paying much more for the Platinum because you can buy the platinum props that give you much of the benefit of the platinum. I have a Plainum - it's great, but it's not really any different than the Pro other than the props & slightly different motors (& paint job)

As long as your happy wi'it who cares! But PRO (on the left of the comparison) provides practically double the distance and I know which 1 I'd be happy to send off into the distance beyond This is why DJI give a choice.

willeymunda

I've not lost signal once. also you can do the hack to run it on FCC instead of the European CE. That doubles the signal strength.

know1

'QUALITY' ..if your okay with Wi-Fi ONLY :S The PRO as the name implies is just that!

willeymunda

The Mavic Air is QUALITY, so easy to fly and also faster than the Pro in sports mode

...saying that the Air is said to be PANTS! Spend slightly more and get the PRO. (as I have done, even though I got 2nd hand for way cheaper than any deals)

Not a pricing error there supplier changes the prices everyday throughout the day. I just ordered the black one today for £788.45 including delivery

Chaoscontrol

Lost it. I already sold all the accessories. That's why I got the Mavic Air. :S

thetino

wanna sell the spark?

willeymunda

yeah you get two extra batteries but that is something you can buy from tobydeals or eglobal as it doesn't matter about the warranty on them for the price

Chaoscontrol

Yeah, that's what I mean. I never felt the need for a spare set of blades. If they break you probably crashed and your drone survived. Blades are cheap to find. The bag is fine, but I found the one with Spark combo wasn't too nice as the ones I could find afterwards, and they were way cheaper, and fitting all extra accessories. Still, you're paying a ton for a basic bag. The most valuable is the extra batt, that I will get on its own.

Poor range... 4km is pretty good considering you legally have to be in sight of it at all times.

Im going to wait and see. Mavic pro 2 sounds good on paper. Im put off the air by the poor range and price. If the price comes down to £500 on eglobal central i might bite.

Damn £35 and I never got chance to buy

CampGareth

Yeah you don't go tubeless without adapting your rims for it. By adapting I mean using tape. It's pretty easy, here's a youtube video showing you how:

ItsFrazer

They have the same tyre for the same price that isn't tubeless. Trust me on this if your rim is not designed for tubeless tyres. Don't buy tubeless, you will have to use a tube unless you adapt it which would be tricky and putting on a tubeless tyre with a tube is hell. I had no problem with my front but for the rear I had to do it about 5 times because the fit is so tight it kept on pinching the inner tube and causes it to split

Happy_Merchant

Ordered, I'll inevitably have a puncture on my normal tyre + inner tube and when I do I'll switch to these.

y_am_I_buying_this

I’m wheelie not sure about a tubeless tyre

Rumours suggest the Mavic Pro 2 will be announced soon. Just a heads up, if you need the latest and greatest.

davidglynlloyd

This or the Air? Pro has the range Air has better camera apparently. This seems like a good deal for the pro.

LOL_is_stupid

Nice result. Been there, done that. It’s the only way a lot of larger companies will listen to you.

Derlish

I decided to stick to Pro. Way better battery, inteligent flight modes like cours lock and home lock that I find extremely useful. The descent rate is half of pro's and its using weaker remote transmission protocol. On the plus side it can record higher bitrate but comparing the quality after both have been uploaded (and compressed) to YouTube i don't see much difference.
