Hi all
Seeing if anyone can help or give advice - got the Tenda Nova MW5 quad pack from ebuyer and set it up yesterday.
Have 100mb broadband from virgin.
The main Primary node MW5 is only giving around 50mbps compared to the superhub which did give 100mb when near the routers.
Additionally, devices seems to randomly connect to nodes and not really be connected to those that are closest.
Have tried the superhub both as modem mode and router mode (WiFi off) but no difference.
Any tips or advice on set up or to improve these things?

sorted byThis was my second try with the novas. I had mw6 last year and returned due to issues. Then bought the mw5 this year thinking they must have sorted out the firmware as so many people say they are OK but they just doesn't get along with my virgin bb.
May just be some routers it doesn't get along with?
The tplink deco have been great. Since first setup I'm getting consistent speeds no dropouts all around the house. Only issue I have was losing connection with my chromecast whilst casting, but all other devices are rock solid.
Ive done a workaround with the chromecast so happy now.
If your still within your refund period I would defo reconsider your options!
But my worst bugbear is that they create their own subnet, this is a real issue as my Freenas box is on a static IP on my old subnet and so any PCs on the new one cannot access it, not good!
I'm thinking that I may well be returning them in the next few days...
Interesting, have you got your NAS on DHCP? Surely though, if it picks up an address from the 'new' subnet, any PCs on the old subnet won't be able to see it still? (edited)
No sorry. I’ve returned mine
You can also buy extenders that you can add to the mesh: amazon.co.uk/Dec…h=1
Hi, did you manage to sort? Did you try putting it into bridge mode?
I didn't mate. I bought the deco m4 and getting my full 200mb all around the house no issues.
I tried Bridge mode, I tried modem mode on the superhub, I tried switching every single setting on/off . It gives a decent speed for an hour and then goes back to a quarter of the speed.
Trying to return the tenda, still in the process as I'm over my 30 days 😩
Oh no hope you get it sorted, mines the mw6 and it keeps losing connection between the nodes, trying bridge mode to see if it makes a difference!
I switched the wifi signal from the virgin hub off so the tenda novas are the main source and i enabled the ‘fast roaming’ setting on the tenda app... has worked a dream since.
