Hello Everyone, I have seen cheap Netflix and YouTube deals using VPN (only for registration) from Turkey, India etc here in HUKD. Do any of you know whether it’s possible to register for Disney Plus in a country where it’s cheaper and then watch in the U.K. (without VPN)?

sorted byBut you now need an Indian phone number. If anyone can get past that then it is like 15 pounds a year including all prem league games too but live sports had problems with capacity to be honest.

Getting an Indian mobile number isn't going to be big problem
A long time ago I created a Hotstar account by email. I paid someone on fiverr from India to make the payment for me as it needed Indian payment method. Lately I cannot log in anymore as needs to be registered with an Indian phone number.
If you knew someone with Indian phone number and payment then should be easy just to create an account and use an Indian VPN.
I used both website on pc and also firestick app.

there's two types of phone identification.
one is a one-time password and there are websites that show phone number text messages (ie you only need a one-off code)
but I think hotstar is requiring you to log in via a phone number. what I don't know is whether you need that phone number for regular text messages of codes. in theory someone in India on fiverr could buy sim cards and register new numbers for us. but I suspect that you need ID for phone numbers and they will be getting attention from the powers that be for having so many phone numbers!!

This seems to be via hotstar. I had it in the past but then needed an Indian phone number. I originally paid someone from fiverr to set up but then was able to renew it myself. But then they blocked email only accounts.

I've had it since they started offering it as an extra, by far the best way of getting it imo
has your contact in india paid using his indian card e.g. bank of baroda etc and used his mobile number to sign up?

I know tidal is cheaper in Argentina. I have a share from hukd and it was in Spanish for the original sign up messaging and presume that is where it is from.

Both services use the country your payment details are registered in to confirm your location and if it doesn't match the country you're trying to register in, there's no chance. Deezer are particularly pro-active about checking this as well.
The easiest and cheapest way for both is to start a family share and rope other people in. Works out just shy of £3 quid each per month.
