Some idea of the budget would be helpful.  As are any features you want, internet connectivity, etc.

CEX shift BR players from £10 upwards for grade B, although nothing under £28 at time of post.
    2 years warranty from CEX.

A PS3 is as good a blu ray player as you can get for the money but if you are spending money to buy last gen technology should you be looking for 4K playback as well?

The PS3 is probably the best blu-ray player for the money....
Sadly the remote control option tends to make it a tad more expensive and a little more convoluted to use, but the output is a lot better than most "budget" players... (edited)

Thanks for your advice, managed to trade in my existing Blu-ray player to Cex which would stop playing all of a sudden and bought a Panasonic 3d blu-ray player for net £21.00

So you sold a knowingly faulty item to Cex so some other sucker can have the hassle of returning it? Or do they take in known faulty goods to sell-on as faulty? A quick search of Cex reveals may phones which are sold as faulty but nothing in the Electronics catagory.
