That would be 50p per 100g then, so more expensive. Personally I'll just got with the current Tesco offer of £1.5 per jar. Can get some crunchy and some smooth. Glass jar Keeps better Only 10p more per 100g than this, and no plastic and better storage.

MotörDave

1kg tub £5 from dolphin fitness, yeah it's hard work when you first open it (I tip it into our ninja blender) but it lasts for ages. Way better than the garbage with Palm oil in it.

certifiednuts

Great find OP thank you. Forget palm oil!

Michael_Wilkinson

Most excellent :-)

Try the Meridian peanut butter with coconut.... Bit more expensive but tastes amazing :)

Works out at £1.50 a jar or better with S&S. I believe Morrisons also have for the same price right now. Most places charging £2.50-£3 per jar.

Well, that's debatable but you're right about it being super important to be happy so if you are enjoying what you're doing and it is making you happy then I say all power to you. It's worth noting that tastes change quite quickly and sugar in and of itself doesn't really have the nicest flavour. There are other things out there which have a nicer flavour yet are not as addictive as sugar and will allow you to appreciate the other things going on in food a lot more. As for eating healthy, with all the respect in the world, we're finding out all the time about things which we thought were healthy previously as not being so. Some people do indeed have a genetic predisposition to cancer. Normally, of course, they get it before they are in their 70s. Other people get it late in life and there's not much we know about how to prevent it, like prostate cancer which a huge number of men get in their late lives. There is a lot of information out there but you'll find that sugar feeds cancer and if you want to live a longer happier life and work against the whole 'life is too short' concept just a little by trying to extend it then you can read into it and find out more. I don't want to condescend or patronise. I don't want to tell you how to live your life, or what is best for you to do with your own choices. I think that there is a lot of personal responsibility out there. I'd only encourage you to make informed choices and avoid thinking things which leave you helpless, such as there's nowt you can do, when in fact there is an awful lot you can do and the research proves it. Why not take a look at something like "The China Study" if you just want to know some interesting things without much leg work even if you only use it for having interesting conversations and not to influence how you eat at all. All the best!

omendata

Life is too short to worry about artificial ingredients and sugar etc Life is about enjoying and living, my new hobby is food and cooking and taste is most important - what is the point of eating bland food?> My mum was the healthiest person alive she was in her 70's and did pliates, was a master of Thai Chi and ate the healthiest foods even refused to ever have a microwave oven and yet she died of cancer and my dad he was a sportsman played golf every day of his life almost and for a 70 year old man he was as good a golfer as many in their twenties even did a plant and a handspring when he was in his sixties when we slagged him off for having a big belly and he died of cancer early too so you see I have learned that it doesnt matter what you eat or do if god has it in for you then there is nowt you can do.

Shinoke

Pure meridian smooth peanut butter has 5.9g of sugar per 100g, this has 8.2g So only a touch from the honey. You're looking at 2.3g of extra sugar per 100g, so about one teaspoon in a whole jar. So a good teaspoon of honey in a whole jar. So nothing really.

Nope - that would be "Adult" if they were simply doing it get a reaction (which I don't think was the case - they just seem to be an angry pedant) - so if anyone is a troll it's them - but even they're not a troll it seems. Look up the definition of an Internet troll :P Edit: given your avatar did you not watch the South Park troll episodes? Heh Anyway cheers OP and @Alessandra15 for mentioning Tesco too. I'd actually already ordered this before the deal was posted, arriving today despite using no rush delivery. Nom nom Might get some smooth from Tesco which I think I prefer actually. Amazon pantry do the organic almond butter for £3 too.

cibarious

Now this - coconut & peanut butter - is wonderful stuff. Heat from me too.

jamhops

Fair enough flavor seems good to me but that's personal taste, I got the tub today and there wasn't separation in the tub... though they may have just mixed it up tbf. I just put it forward as an cheaper option, some will prefer it some won't.

SomeOtherBloke

Good deal, heat added. Not my choice of p b though, prefer Whole Earth.

HellriderUKDeals69

Personally i prefer Meridian over My Protein. The small glass jars can be quite handy as the oil separation is far less than the 1kg tub.

The oil on the top of meridian peanut butter is perfectly natural. The reason other brands don't separate is because they are not 'pure' peanut butter, they have the addition of palm oil. Palm Oil contains a lot of saturated fat and which makes it semi solid at room temperature; so when it's added to peanut butter if stabilises the mixture and thus prevents the peanut oil separating.

jayonline85

Good price, I prefer almond butter with 100% almonds as I use it in a chocolate flavoured protein shake or straight of the spoon :D Ingredients in this one are 75% roasted pistachio nuts, 10% honey, 7% cocoa powder, 5% coconut, 3% sunflower

rand0m

who in the right mind thought it was an amazing idea to add coconut and honey to fake nutella + peanut butter? I want to punch someone now.

McHotpoon

Healthier yes, Nutella NO! It's not very sweet, the cocoa takes the sweetness away. I'd stick to peanut butter personally our house did not like it and it was filed in the B1n folder.

Sort of puts me off ordering as once the bag is open it will surely degrade the contents unless you put it in many sealed storage jars? Which then defeats the object of saving money by buying in bulk?
