Thank you for this. This website looks really useful. Best wishes
Your friend might benefit from a phone magnified basically you put the phone I and a plastic rim with a plastic magnifying screen makes it bigger tou can sometimes find them from poundland or ebay
Hi there, the screen on the Samsung would definately be an improve the iphone your friend has. I've added a search page for phones on gsmarena. I added screen size as minimum 6.2" same as Samsung there is many other handsets cheaper take a view and see, the page can be edited to your specific neeeds. The S20 ultra is an amazing handset, but its pricey. https://www.gsmarena.com/search.php3?nYearMin=2020&nDisplayResMin=2073600&fDisplayInchesMin=6.2
Am after a bit of advice please. An elderly family friend is partially sighted (to the point where he has a guide dog) and accesses the internet via an iPhone 6s. The screen is too small for him and he’s considering a Samsung 20 because of its screen size. Is he doing the right thing pls? Thx
I was convinced to keep it. But for me the difference in phones isn't much. Its not a night and day situation. The 21ultra is better but it's not a £900 difference. I have this issue of spending money on myself, so I can be extremely hard on my view when it comes to spending money on me. So my opinion maybe restricted somewhat. It's a great phone, battery lasts easily the day or 2 with loads of use at 1440p adaptive display. The display is nice and bright, full of color, where my p30 Pro lacked. Front firing speakers are a god send over the bottom firing on the p30. Cameras are really nice, but I do find a small issue with soft focusing indoors. Was trying to get photos of my dogs and it would focus just behind them. Unsure how compressed that photo will be. But around her nose and arms it seemed to struggle to focus. It'll play any game you throw at it. My cons are; *Phone is bulky / thick and Heavy *I was so concerned of the cameras for the first 3 days getting scratched that i got a lens protector so I was babying the phone *No charger and the p30 45w charger doesn't charge it fast (additional cost) *cost is high it's a great phone but isnt revolutionary *no vertical app draw, it's horizontal swiping once open (major annoyance) and nova launcher has issues in lastest android If you got the money spare and will enjoy having a new phone. Its great, the 120hz screen is a joy to use but wares off after a few days. I've not used my phone as much for games or the camera more than an odd one of the dogs. But in that department the photos on the s21 are much better. My p30 Pro had such a poor colour to it. That everything seemed lifeless.

How do people fund this phone I can't decide with this or s21 normal
One question i always ask is the refurbished phones. What actually do they refurbished. Some sold with scratches on screen. So what actually do they do? Switch phone on to see if working and that's it :/ :/ :/
Bad deal. Cold for me.
Bought outright through samsung but on paypal credit
Here you go. Not sure if they still have stock for the S20 Ultra but worth a look :) MusicMagpie could be the next best price. I think someone posted a deal for the S20 Ultra recently from there.

Just got another one for £58 cheaper which has double the memory as well. Considering the one from MM had a big dent on the back, the small crack in the top right of the front of the one i've just ordered isn't really comparable.
I know :) At least MM have a 14 day returns policy, no questions asked. I'll send it back for a refund and buy it again from eBay.
(lol) (lol)
Why oh why didn’t I look at eBay before buying this iPad ? Price is averaging around £60 quid cheaper
Thanks bud

Thats a good question, I've been checking on Uswitch for S20 ultras every few weeks up to Black Friday and this morning this was the cheapest the phone has ever been with 10gb+ Data (Although since this morning there are some lower data contracts for up to ~£45 less over the two year contract. I guess it's probably down to there being better value for money handsets out there (I.e. Not S20 Ultras) and these supposedly lose value quickly but if you want one of the best spec phones out there this is one of them and it's the cheapest I've ever seen it for a new phone from a UK based seller. I did start the thread with 'I know this might not be for everyone'!
Why so cold? Best deal on the net
I've just bought the s20 plus for the exactly same price pm and GB but with no upfront cost.
Wish it was the snapdragon
Why is everyone saying not worth more than 700£?

This phone is selling for 600 quid now on ebay Samsung is very bad at holding its prices
No stock at the moment

In the smartphone industry, two names stand head and shoulders above the others: Samsung and Apple. But with the Galaxy Ultra, the Korean giant may have gained an advantage on Apple, offering a whole new level of camera performance. Equipped with a super-fine zoom, 8K video capture, and ways to turn high resolution footage into crystal clear snaps, the Ultra is a next level photo smartphone, and packs in plenty more besides. As such, it's a fitting extension of the Samsung S series. Born in 2010, the S family's premium specs and high-quality engineering set it apart from other Samsung phones, with a price tag to match. But with Samsung Galaxy Ultra deals, that doesn't have to be a big deal.
The Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra: Pros and Cons
Pros:
Industry-leading cameras offering lossless zooms
8K video capabilities
5G versions available
IP68 waterproofing
Large battery capacity
Wireless charging
Cons:
Very high price point for many buyers
No 3.5mm headphone jack
Quite heavy
Storage and RAM same as S20+
Key Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Features
Space Zoom Camera – the 12MP main lens of the camera is accompanied by a 48MP telephoto lens which delivers an amazing x100 “space zoom”. Way ahead of any other contemporary phone.
6.9-inch AMOLED display – 6.9-inches should be more than sufficient for comfortable movie and TV watching, and the 120hz refresh rate makes the Ultra great for gaming too.
Plenty of storage and RAM – Standard RAM comes as 12/16GB, while storage maxes out at 512GB (with SD card capability on the side).
5,000mAh battery capacity – 5,000mAh is a seriously large smartphone battery, providing hours of backup for the Ultra's processing power.
5G – With 5G now on the horizon as the fastest network standard, the Ultra offers full compatibility (if that's the model you choose).
Wireless charging – If you need to replenish your Ultra's charge levels, USB and QI wireless charging are both available.
Waterproofing – Samsung have been careful to engineer the Ultra for maximum protection, offering IP68 waterproofing (1.5m submersion for 30 minutes).
8K Video Snap – With this feature, Samsung have made it possible for users to “snap” HD images from 8K video, making it easy to capture movement as naturally as possible.
As you might have guessed already, the Galaxy S20 Ultra is part of a trio of S20 phones, and sits at the top of the tree. The other phones in the range include the Standard S20 and the S20+, both of which are noticeably underpowered, smaller, and generally inferior to the Ultra by every measure. They aren't bad phones – far from it – but the idea behind the Ultra is to offer more of everything. The best available right now, in fact.
The camera is the Ultra's USP, and it's a genuine departure from what has come before. At the heart of it all lies a 48MP telephoto lens which is able to zoom in 100 times. Well, in theory. Actually, the most realistic zoom without significant loss of detail and clarity is more like x60-70, but that's still impressive. The oversized sensor on the Ultra is equipped to handle low light situations, while AI software hums along in the background, refining brightness and focus, and stabilising images or video to ensure the best possible results. Not everyone will need that level of precision, but anyone who has been frustrated at the quality of their Instagram feed will appreciate the way that the Ultra takes things to another level.

In addition to those core specs, the Galaxy S20 Ultra has a high-quality build, featuring Corning Gorilla Glass 6, with an aluminium frame. And the camera specs hide a few extra features that we haven't touched on. For instance, alongside Video Snap, users will find Single Take. With this feature, they can take a series of snaps as part of video footage, and sample them to find the best image for every situation, or let AI do the work for them. 8K video is part of the package, and the Ultra can cast directly to YouTube, which is manna from heaven for content creators. And there are even some intriguing audio features. For instance, the mic can “zoom in” to detect sounds in the vicinity, helping to capture music concerts or speeches with much more clarity.
Comparing the S20 Ultra vs the S20+
With the Galaxy S20 Ultra, buyers get more of everything, from camera power to speed and – inevitably – price.
The core comparison to make with the S20 Ultra has to be with its little brother, the S20+. Launched at the same time, the two models are roughly the same size (6.7-inches vs 6.9-inches), but diverge significantly in many other areas. Most notably, the cameras could be on different planets. The S20+ camera is excellent, but x30 zoom pales in comparison to x100 theoretically available with the Ultra. And the extra CPU speed on offer with the Ultra will make image and video manipulation a little bit smoother as well. Additionally, the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra camera has been engineered to collect light more efficiently, and you'll notice this when shooting at evening restaurant dates or parties when the sun starts to dip beneath the horizon. There are other benefits of the Ultra as well. The battery has been beefed up, and fast charging is – well – faster.
Then again, the S20+ has Single Take, a x30 zoom, and Video Snap, as well as AI stabilisation, a combination that may well be enough for everyday users who don't pretend to be professional photographers. And the price difference is often around £200, which will seal the deal for many people. However, don't forget the Standard S20. It's much cheaper, less powerful, and generally more basic, but still at the high end of the mass smartphone market.
Samsung S20 Ultra Accessories You Won't Want to Miss
Cases – Expensive phones need reliable cases. So pick up a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra case from reputable brands like Spigen, Snakehive, or Ringke.
Screen Protectors – In addition to cases, screen protectors add another layer of insurance against smudges, cracks, and other smartphone nasties. Everyone should have some.
QI charging equipment – Enhance your Ultra with QI charging pads or other accessories, and enjoy total flexibility.
Earphones – The Ultra's Bluetooth 5.0 abilities are a great match for wireless earbuds, and Samsung's own Galaxy Buds+ are the pick of the bunch.
Stands – Enjoy the big screen of your S20 Ultra with a well designed smartphone stand. Olixar is a good brand to go for.
Accessories aren't a minor part of owning a high grade smartphone like the Samsung S20 Ultra. They can significantly affect how much enjoyment owners derive from their device, and ensure that it retains its trade in value as much as possible. So we'd recommend adding a case and some screen protectors to your purchase (bundle deals may well be available via hotukdeals).

Ultimate Smartphone Performance? A Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Review
Labelling your marquee smartphone “Ultra” is a power move, but has Samsung backed up their marketing with a device that fits that tag? In our opinion, yes – but only for customers who really need cutting edge camera specs. You simply can't deny that the Galaxy S20 Ultra camera is top of its class, with a zoom that makes iPhones look pedestrian, 8K video, superb low light abilities, and stabilisation that can turn the most nervous user into a master. This has been born out by industry reviews, such as the feedback from What Hifi, which praised its “camera wizardry, gorgeous screen and 5G support” - summing up much of the critical response.
Have there been any critics? Of course. Some people have questioned whether the x100 zoom is a fair representation of the camera's actual capabilities, suggesting that imagery at that level of magnification becomes muddy and impossible to see. Others have focused on the price tag, suggesting that the Ultra is a model for the elite, while most of us will do just fine with lower spec alternatives. And that seems a fair perception. If you can afford it, the S20 Ultra is an exceptional device, but it's not likely to change your world if you aren't a photography obsessive.
How Screenshot on Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra Phones
If you want to know how to screenshot on a Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, don't worry. It's very simple, and there are a couple of methods. Let's start with the most accessible.
Samsung has designed its S20 collection so that users can easily capture the contents of their screen. Firstly, make sure that you have exactly what you want to capture in front of you.
Now, hold down the volume and power buttons on the case of your S20 Ultra. Make sure that you press them both at the same time, otherwise the screenshot process won't work.
Hold the buttons for a couple of seconds, and you should see the screen flash briefly. This indicates that the screenshot has been taken successfully.
The other main option is to use “palm swipe” to take screenshots. To set this up, head to settings, and then “advanced features”, followed by “motions and gestures.” Turn on “palm swipe for capture”.
Now, when you pass the edge of your hand across your screen, it should take a screenshot – a slightly faster way of achieving the same result.
How to Find the Lowest Possible Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra price
Samsung's Galaxy S20 Ultra is as advanced as smartphones can be. From the huge screen size and sumptuous resolution, to the ultra high-zoom cameras, AI capabilities, Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity and 5G compatibility, this is a forward-thinking phone in every department. Unfortunately, all of those features come with a price tag attached, with the S20 Ultra tending to retail at a price around £300-400 higher than the S20 and S20+. And for many people, £1,400 is a lot of money to spend on a smartphone.
Luckily, finding a cheap Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra is possible if you know where to look. But before you start deal hunting, make some core decisions. Decide whether to opt for the 12GB or 16GB memory models, or if 5G really matters. Higher spec versions will add £50-100 onto the price, and not everyone needs them.
Also, think about whether to buy a contract or to go for the handset alone. Contracts can deliver bargains on data and call time, as well as perks like upgrades when the contract ends, but monthly payments aren't always competitive. It can work out cheaper to buy the phone on its own, then purchase SIM only deals. So shop around to find a method that works for you.

I see this is a pre black Friday deal with it ending on 26th. Do we think there is any chance of a better deal on black Friday itself?
Might have been one of the mobilephonesdirect deal, as the one you linked is a 24 contract on O2. I didn't check that site :D I know, that EE supposed to be the best in coverage, it might be just an unfortunate corner of Peterborough where I live, but I barely get any indoors coverage with them, doesn't matter if it's at work or at home. I still have broadband with them (as there is no Fibre connected to this place either (mad) ) which drops the internet every now and then, and won't work until the router is restarted. I always wondered how are they being the best one, but it's probably just my luck here. (:I (lol)
Because with in 18 months Samsung loses 60-70 of Value. No good having a 2 year deal . Best deals with Samsung is wait for 12 months after release date and grab this for £600 and sim only . Probably saves you £550 . I paid just under £1000 for the S10 plus when first released. 17 months later I just about got £350 back for it in pristine condition. They just don’t hold value Look at the note 10 plus over £1100 on release , going for £550 now .
Sorry was working from memory (lol) I swear it was the other way round the last I checked, but in tired, so I'm probably just wrong (lol) anyway, it was more of a 'that's what I'd go for' than a comparison, there might be better note ultra deals available? The missus had a bad experience with Vodafone customer services a few years back and I think that's unfortunately most people's lasting memory of them. I find EE have the best coverage, especially out in the countryside, I'm on o2 now and their signal's not the best around Birmingham and non existent where we regularly (used to) holiday around Devon, other than that, can't complain about the service, just the fact that everyone else sells their product cheaper than they do, which I find a weird concept in business?
As its unlimited, it might worth it (if 100 gig is not enough for a month) , but in the full term it comes up £29 more than the Voda deal. I'm quite sure, that £19 upfront is not a big deal if you are thinking about this phone.

You can get from t-dimension, the Snapdragon version with 256gb/12g ram for £781 delivered.
Freeeeeeeeeeeezzzzzinnnngg!
CEX, as always, wants to charge as new. (annoyed)
Pristine for £740 using code on eBay (music magpie)
CEX are always overpriced for anything SECOND HAND (skeptical)

Anyone know if (UK) has snapdragon?
What code are you using on samsung site
Apparently they have not had the delivery so now expect it Monday with shipping out on Tuesday to customers...great price but so frustrating...
🤞
Hopefully they will ship mine this week then...Thanks @MrSwitch

What a rip off. You can get it for approx £1pm, so your gonna pay hundreds of pounds for this phone to get £4 YT Premium? Mad.
They should give me so much more to buy a Samsung (lol)
I bought my galaxy S20 ultra in February so these terms are weird
I got this a few months ago on my Note 10+.
From Samsung's promotion page: "Purchase a Galaxy S20, S20+, S20 Ultra, Fold 5G, Z Flip or Tab S6 Lite from a participating retailer between 30.04.20 – 31.12.20"

Such a shame this was voted cold and anyone coming to the site to find the best price for the S20 Ultra will think this is not it.
Freeze!
If it was snapdragon 🙃
Noice

OLED TV money, they are having a laugth.
What are the issues with Samsung Pay? What are the other issues with the snapdragon version?
Bought an Essential Phone from Amazon US and it's mostly the same as Amazon in the EU. The price quoted is what you're paying, no more taxes or custom because Amazon handles it for you.
I should give it a go, there's stuff I want. Maybe tomorrow haha
Never bought from Us myself either. Only like Amazon Italy, Germany or Spain

Would anyone recommend this phone over the normal s21 ?
Thank you think I will bite the bullet 😋
Nope. Using it right now to reply to you.
Perfect thank you I seen they got a s20 ultr for 600 on there and ebay are given me another 30 off it. Have you had any issues with yours?

Currently, there is an increased deduction of 20% for Blue light card members when buying direct from Samsung via the app. Taking the S20+ (128GB) to £799.20 and S20 Ultra (128GB) to £959.20. The free watch is roughly going for £100 on eBay which could bring price down to under £700 for S20+ and £859.20 for S20 Ultra.
SKU of watch is SM-R500NZSABTU
Cheaper on very.co.uk
Reckon this is the GEN 1 Active so not worth much
£80 to £100 is the going rate right now. May reduce as more become available

True but I order because of a freebie available in some cases.
I'd love to import but it's the bands that are stopping me (mad)
The comment wasn't meant to say you can get a better deal with the Snapdragon and that you should buy that version. It was merely to to inform that most reviews out there praising the phone are 99% based on the Snapdragon version, so if you're buying the phone based on those you'll be disappointed to say the least. Just giving people a heads up, like you stated if you want Samsung there is no alternative in the UK. You could import if you really wanted tho, wondaMobile are selling Korean imports with the Snapdragon.
The problem is that, if we want a samsung we are restricted to the Exynos version either way so pointless comparing it to something that isn't available to us, the uk
Sales has crashed across the world - the price cuts will be quicker and deeper simply because the supply chain is falling to pieces and nobody has the storage for a non-essentional item like this.

And generally, folk applaud the emergency services, they are aware they're underfunded and run to danger, when other run away. Be it criminals, fire or virus. So letting them get a little discount once in a while is fine by me. And yeah I'm biased.
No discrimination. Anyone's allowed to join the 999 services.

Who would spend this much on a phone when there are much more important things to spend your money on in these uncertain times.
I'm in the process of sending my Ultra back. Gutted. Overheats. Battery life dreadful. Discharges whilst charging if I use Google maps. Takes ages to "fast charge". And the photos from the camera are dreadful. I've had every Galaxy phone. So I know I've got it set up right. I must have a faulty one. Such a shame. S20+ arrives tomorrow. It'll be easier to handle anyway :) Back to the deal, this is really good. It was 10 percent so the increase is sizeable. I've already bought mine, so I've missed out. I've given heat, even if others seem to think it's cold. Just cos it's niche, doesn't mean its a bad deal.

How do people find this phone
Affordable?
Usual crazy launch price. Let the mugs buy it at full whack then discount it after
(lol) (lol) (lol) missed that! Well sported
That's a good price. The phone however Is a joke

Yes there's a deal for the s20+ case in HUKD... £3.99 for prime members, I've had two delivered tonight
Im waiting for my S20 Ultra and i will order Spigen Liquid Air case as i did for previous phones. Spigen, I'n my opinion are the best quality and good value for money, also they have a lot of options from very thin covers to very thick and though.
It is weird. I've seen unboxing on YT and some 4G versions have clear case in box, but none of 5G had it in box ....unless someone added it to the order. Have look there - this is an 4G(LTE) version of S20 Ultra. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Txkc1s1a4yM&t=660s
It doesn't look like a cover is supplied in the box for UK phones. Just checked Three and EE websites list what's in the box.
Well these lot are up the creek then!
It's still for sale. Don't know why this hasn't been snapped up!!
Had a opened - never used tab s6, had Samsung logo screen burned in the middle of the LCD, went straight back
I learned the hard way. Deals posted here go very, very quickly. Hesitate and it's gone. I actually spent a minute or two checking the phone specs against the S21 Ultra before buying, that delay could have meant I lost out but in this instance I was probably just seconds ahead of other buyers. Luck and timing plays a part of course, spotting a deal before the rest of the UK spots it. Keep your eyes peeled on Hot UK deals, you'll get what you are after sooner or later (y)
Good choice IMHO despite it not being the latest Samsung its still holding its own with the fact it comes with a 25w charger and comes with wired earbuds (some people still like/use them) and for me most importantly has the SD card slot (y)
Anyone else after a bargain of the century check this: SAMSUNG Galaxy S8+ - 64 GB, Pink Gold - Currys | eBay Only £523.97 Bargain....of last century.
