Lincoln( triton road) has royal shortbread tins for same price.Telephone box tins reduced too but only half price.

I counted the biscuits in the tin and found I had the wrong number.... :D

Why would I post about shortbread I haven't tried? You think I'm some sort of shortbread rabble-rouser? Perhaps I've been hired by Walkers to trash the competition? I recently purchased a large box of Dean's shortbread fingers from Home Bargains when they were doing the 400g box for £2.50. They were flavourless and I'm certain they weren't 100% butter. That's my OPINION. Deal with it. If what Scouse Kevin says is correct then these cookies might be better.

Thanks OP Deans make lovely All Butter Shortbread, but they also make a shortbread made with butter and margarine which is no where near as nice as the All Butter one. Its a bit like Rolls Royce making a Skoda and putting a silver lady on the bonnet. lol

Obviously taste is subjective. But in terms of the quality, it's worth mentioning that Deans are the company that makes Tesco Finest Shortbread. So they've got quite a good reputation within the Industry.

Where does it say galaxy caramel? This is shortbread crunch. im guessing the one your referring to is this one which i havnt come across yet.

Got one of these last week for this price, They are ok, I would not buy this again though. It is not what youd expect and is 1 solid bar of chocolate that you snap the segments off of. Also although it says "galaxy caramel" it is not the galaxy caramel you would expect. no gooey caramel centre, just hard crunchy bits.

Two more I found in Argyle Street, Glasgow, tonight: Milk Chocolate Muffin Mix 224g (on the left, Rainbow Cookies on the right) (near the toiletries) and Triple Chocolate Shortbread Cookies (at the food/tins section)

I LOVE rainbow cookies...but perhaps I shouldn't look at the ingredients (shock)

Says at the top of the post: "All ingredients included - just add butter." Bottle blurb says, "Cookie mix with sugar coated milk chocolate candy beans"

It was priced at 4p on the shelf edge label. But they were on a top shelf so prob not many people noticed. The girl at the till said she couldn’t believe the price when she put the tickets out that morning.

Won't these be past their expiration date? They were released in 2016, I know shortbread usually has a good life expectancy but still, 2 years later, they must be a bit stale.

Made with majority oil instead of butter which makes them far cheaper to produce and far less tastier. Not as good for you either but that's a whole other debate.

Yes they scanned on the hand held scanner at £3 but went through the til at checkout at £1 . The ticket price said £1.50 so I was prepared to argue it at checkout when it was scanning at £3. Basically everything on offer was scanning through at the normal Price but it is reduced at checkout

I picked up a tin yesterday in my local Tesco Express - £1.50 there. Already had a couple with a cup of tea - they are very nice!

You should have paid the £3 and then went to customer services they would have refunded you £3 and you would have got the tin for free.

Scanned at £3 today

I think that is for an empty tin; ie some toerag stole the contents (and probably ate them before reaching the till. I recently came across a 4 pack of cheap biros, where some scrote has stolen 1 (ninja)
