We'll just have to travel to countries with colder climate

Why would you need this? Snow is a thing of the past. Well, according to that climate change prophet dozy Dr David Viner it would be. Funnily, his quote has now disappeared off many parts of the internet. Unsurprisingly, as it made him look a fool. So I'll quote it here. Dr David Viner, a senior research scientist at the climatic research unit (CRU) of the University of East Anglia, within a few years winter snowfall will become “a very rare and exciting event”. “Children just aren’t going to know what snow is,” he said. Web said local store had 7 in stock but I couldn't find them so I asked when I was at the till, sales person looked on their system and said ooh! only 50p I'll have one too if I can find em (cheeky) & off he went to search.

Free snowbusters winter kit (Dudley)

Local residents? Shame I wanted a free Shovel, Salt and High Visibility Jacket, not because I need it but because it's FREE

They got plenty of workers and food already which was supposed to be for schools I'm sure they can it wouldn't cost any extra to send the teachers cleaners who will still be paid for there jobs. And half the food will probably need throwing away which would incur extra costs. Etc you know what I mean

Knowing the council it probably costs them x10 that or more they aint sat on hotukdeals pick them up from anywhere thats cheapedt they use there exclusively approved friends oh I mean suppliers.

We don't have a salt shed near by we can safely get to, living on a slope, a through road and up a dark unlit entry, I think a hi vis is a great idea in case anyone slips in the road, it's pitch black when I go to work in the morning. All for a good cause if it saves accidents. x

if they want to shovel a neighbour's path they don't need a hi-vis jacket, they can use a shovel from the shed & salt is unnecessary, it's all melting anyway enough said but I wish councils would just cut their unnecessary costs (this being a prime example) so there's more money for Social Care

Everytime I think about buying one of these the snow disappears.

Our local Asda (Southampton) had these for £2 and still some left. I thought about it but I think it's one of those things I'll buy, use once (if that) and then it'll just get in the way.

Well good on you if you're helping out your fellow man (y) Can you imagine what kind of country we'd be living in if we were all so public spirited as yourself. My hat's off to you. Around my way the snow is only 2 inches deep! So no need for shovels, just a steady & careful footstep.

No. But typically the villages never see a gritter lorry. By the time I got home tonight the 'dip' in the road at the end of the village was full of abandoned cars unable to get up the hill the other side, which meant the road was closed. Plus we live in an area with a few older residents so my sons and I like to ensure the entrances to their houses are clear. They now don't need to use the garden spades!

Pizza and Red wine and milk. All the things I need to get through a snow day tomorrow! ;)

They had at least 10 more.

Two snow shovels! Blimey you must have had an avalanche your way :D

It's a kid toy. Kids toys tend to be bit silly. If you aren't a kid or like things bit silly then this ain't for you.

Thats answered first in the other response.

No I don't, so what's the point of them?

Without the goggles it wouldn't look like a Minion, which a kid would love the first time they see it. "I mean, you're going to want to eat the egg, right?" Easy remove them before eating? You don't eat the shell do you?

The idea is its a child's themed item so cute and FUN. Goggles will look cool when added 8)

For people asking about pre-pay cards, you can get them here, in convenience stores, but they do not have addresses linked to the cards, so some purchases do not go through (including Paypal). Rakuten has one, that I remember off the top of my head. As for address registered ones, the problem is that you need to provide your residency/zaryu card for every single address related thing you do. It's hard to get around having one, even for simple things like pay as you go phones and starting a gym membership. They do *love* their red tape here.

Good point! I can use my Gaica Visa card. It's pre-pay but registered to my Japanese address.

Yeah they only sell the paper cards now and at nearly an extra thousand yen per card.

Amazon Japan used to sell digital codes at cost but they don't have anything at the moment. I haven't managed to find a single other method.

Yeah i'd love to know if there was a place you could buy pre paid visa/mastercards for japan and mexico
