I have one of these and happy with it. Zero fuss easy adjustment.
All Beard Trimmer Discounts, Offers and Sale - August 2018
Might never leave the house again
Agree with your opinion , definitely a good price. I paid £31 for the 5000 series and works well and cuts with ease. All depends on your type of hair and skin.
Trim the jewels and have it sucked off. Only a bloke could design such an invention.
Almost worth the trip over from Leeds - almost Heat
£29.99 from link.
Unfortunately I’d imagine the chavs picking this up, are that stupid as.
Cos they’re muppets. It’s a razor it goes in the bathroom. Bathrooms are only allowed shaver plugs. You do the maths.
Are they not getting confused with a plug for a shaver socket instead?
Reviews say comes with European round pin plug...
He thinks it's a phone..."still no answer!"
In that picture he just finished making that hair style all by himself...duh
What exactly is he doing in that pic :/ I may be wrong but but an educated guess says pretty boy there with his perfect locks is not about to go for a buzz cut and even if he was he would hacking the most of that off with scissors first. If you want decent clippers for your hair you get Osters, if you're on a budget and will settle for half decent you'll get by with Wahl but you really wouldn't use a Braun beard trimmer.
Should have check the pictures before asking... (embarrassed)
I am in the dilemma, its totally crazy...
Don't need it, but it certainly is a good deal!
Thanks. Looks like more than I need in terms of kit as I only grow mine until it’s a max of around 4-5mm. Will bear it in mind though :)
Actually looks like it was £27 on a deal so £32 is actually not bad
I went for this one. Paid around £20 when on a deal. It's excellent but currently £32. https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00OCG0DO6/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1
The Philips I'm replacing has been really good. It still is but I've lost the charger for the second time!
this one: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Beard-Stubble-Trimmer-Charging/dp/B06XBP76F9/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1530377561&sr=8-3&keywords=philips+usb+beard very good for 17 quid all philips shavers have a pretty cheap flimsy heads though FYI The 7000 series in OP is the same price on amazon ! https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Stubble-Trimmer-Integrated-Vacuum/dp/B01BHW3S58/ref=sr_1_3_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1530377434&sr=8-3&keywords=philips+vacuum+beard
I was looking for one with USB charging. None of them seem to show pictures or say how they are charged so I gave up when it seemed like pot luck. Which one is it that you have?
I've swapped it for one without a vacuum at a similar price to save potential faffing. Now I know what you mean though I wish I'd stick with the vacuum. Still, the one I've got looks to have a slightly closer shave!
Same price on Amazon now too.
I have one of these, you can use it with or without shaving foam/gel. It's a good shaver. I got it when Phillips were having a sale and promo code for it for about £18 but that was last year some time.
Do thy use the shaver with shaving cream or dry:/ :/ :/
Just came here to post this, have had one for at least 5 years probably longer battery needs charging after every shave now but figured a new one with new blades might be worth it at this price. Will see how it goes if its not an upgrade i'll send it back.
I ended up with the MB4045. Not as good as this in terms of look or build quality but the battery life is a justifiable upgrade. I did pick it up for under £20 last year from Argos in the sale.
I have had mine for I think 2 years no battery problems here.
Had this before then tried others. This wins hands down. Purchased another, thanks OP!
I opened my old one and think it should be possible to replace the current batteries but when I took into account the cost of the new batteries, soldering iron and the waiting time for delivery I just decided to buy a new one.
Thanks for posting! Got it from Amazon as none at Tesco near me. My brother has one and it's brilliant for the money! Most at this price range don't last long.
Cheers for the heads up chaps. Been waiting for this one to drop a little in price after endless research. Ended up buying from Amazon in the end and it’s just been delivered (y)
I've got this. I took an age to choose it reading review after review then waiting for the price to drop. I think I paid a little more than this but I'm very happy with it.
Also available from Amazon directly if you don't live near by: https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-Beard-Stubble-Trimmer-Blades/dp/B015IU8SSW/ref=sr_1_1_a_it?ie=UTF8&qid=1529222178&sr=8-1&keywords=BT5200 I use this for my beard and to tidy up my bald head :) - its decent
Very nice find; thanks for sharing @NUFC4
bought this 10 years ago or so and it's still working. one of my best purchases. amazon have a wahl one which is cheaper but really bad so avoid that one.
There's nothing wrong with this, got it from John Lewis for £20 to replace my iStubble one that I dropped and broke the guard on. It's decent, does the job but very basic. If I go shorter again to a stubble I would defo stump for something better than this, but while slightly longer its fine.
I had this model and it was pretty terrible, bought the Lidl version one for £12.99 and it is 100% better, battery lasts 1 hour, doesn't snag beard and has an indicator on battery life and when it needs more oil.
the phillips is much better dont waste your money
I saw these on sale in my Sainsbury's, I actually purchase a Phillips one on Tuesday so I didn't check the prices.
Completely agree. Buy cheap you buy twice
Back in stock now if you are quick
Thanks - have reinstated
Not expired . Still available
In my book its more beneficial to pay 2 and half pounds more and receive Amazon's excellent customer return / replacement service.
£24.90 on eBay so cold from Me
I've got one of these and it's excellent. Lasted a lot longer than the Nicky Clarke one that I had previously
Probably made by vestel, to shave some off the cost.
Good trimmer had it a while now blades still cut like new, I use mine plugged in to the extension for a faster cut then do the edges with a Philips one blade
Got two at home. Both don’t hold charge
Good trimmer for the price. I use mine regularly. Same price at Amazon, but not a 2 year warranty
It's a decent trimmer, got mine in B&M last week for £14.99.
FYI This has been around since 2007. Very old model Uses NiCd/NiMh (can’t remeber which now) but naf batteries. Won’t hold charge after a while. Thee types of batteries need additional care for longevity unlike modern Li-Ion types.
Showing as £57.93 for me
its actually pretty good. its mainly a shaping tool and finish off with standard razor. way too expensive at that price but at around £30 its worth it.
Thanks for the comments...I won't be buying one now
Just sent mine back as well - waste of money.
Got to agree with the comment above....this shaver in my opinion is very poor. I just sent mine back to Amazon....got it during a lightening deal for £36.99...Regardless, Thanks for posting :D
it's terrible, not accurate and doesn't trim evenly
My old Panasonic beard trimmer is starting to need charges after every use... I've used it for 4 years mind you but it's sad that I'll have to replace it because of the battery I'm hoping to find one with replaceable batteries (AA or AAA), adjustable length, and built in vac (most important feature since trimming currently means riddling the sink and everything in its vicinity with little black beard hairs)
A 4 would be 3mm*4=12mm & 5 would be 15mm. As it only does 1-10mm, No.
Got one too and really is very decent and well thought through.
could you do hair with this also. like grade 4/5?
I have one of these and it’s the best hair trimmer I have used. The dial lets you adjust the cut really easily and it’s all built in so no messing about with attachments that can go missing. You can also vary the cut length by tiny amounts from really close to long, it’s excellent. My only slight criticism is the rechargeable battery doesn’t last quite as long as some others I’ve had, I usually charge it every few day so it’s still pretty good.
There's a reason why all the babyliss trimmers are coming down in price mainly that they don't compare in quality and cut as they did in the past. I have sworn by the itrim and then the super stubble but this one that I got at Christmas has been extremely poor. I've actually bit the bullet and bought a Phillips that has better reviews and this can be my holiday shaver!
I've not found any issues with my comb...it has 3 year Guarantee anyway so press as hard as you like ;)
is the comb bit still really cheap plastic? I snapped like 2 of these (guess I press too hard?).
Isn't up to much and I paid 24 quid on sale from Philips on black Friday. Have to keep going over the same place 5 times
Good price if genuine.
I'm not sure that is a great idea.
eBay sell fakes ..
Poor reviews and low priced .... something isn't right 🤔
Rubbish returned mine after using twice.COLD.
Good price but sadly I don't have a lithiium beard.
I was considering this. https://www.lidl.co.uk/en/Non-Food-Offers.htm?articleId=10846&ar=10 Available tomorrow. At that price it might be worth a punt.
Great trimmer this. Sadly the reviews are true the battery life is diabolical.
