Have two of these and chair to match, bought for camping. They lose a lot of air each day and need pumping back up daily.

2000mm HH is terrible. I'd expect this to be about 80 quid top. 600 is a grossly over priced amount and 200 is still too much. If you want to go camping more than once pay a little more and get a vango or berghaus. If you want to go once when it's raining and utterly hate camping then blow 200 on this.

mikeey84

The Vango Odessey range is exclusive to Amazon so, as with Amazon, the prices can be excellent or terrible. If you look at camelcamelcamel you can get an idea of the extremes, and see what price you should target

Cheers

mikeey84

It's gone up in price again, but if you are not desperate, keep an eye out and it will drop closer to 100 https://www.amazon.co.uk/Vango-Odyssey-Family-Tunnel-Epsom/dp/B01709R3MG/ref=mp_s_a_1_26?ie=UTF8&qid=1535443876&sr=8-26&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_FMwebp_QL65&keywords=vango&dpPl=1&dpID=41TyH5%2B1X8L&ref=plSrch

I’ve been keeping an eye on the price of these for a while as I was keen on an inflatable tent. This seems to be the cheapest it’s been for quite a while.

Great video

nch45167

Will try this method next time, thanks

wanye

alternatively, use the pump you get with it to suck out all the air from the poles. i had issues packing it away at first, but then i figured it out after watching this video (from 1m20) - basically, fold it in strips rather than in half, then half again. ive had the tent just over a year now and love it. its been to a couple of festivals and a couple of camping trips so far and so far it's withstood pretty harsh weather conditions (bad wind and total downpour at shell island a few weeks ago) - if anything, i think its a little noisier in the rain than my old pole tent, but that may just be psychological.

nch45167

Think I have the same 5 man with the canopy. I fold til have it the width of the bag. Then start to roll only adding pole bag etc towards the end. Then use the blue ties originally included x 2 to hold in place. Then put the bag over the TOP of the rolled tent then roll over bag and tent together and use hands to fill every inch of the bag. Don't zip initially as will risk breaking the zip. Use the bag compression clips x 2 to reduce the size of the tent further and only then zip. We love our tent and has everything (other than built in groundsheet in living area i.e porch, canopy over side door etc and was only about £160.

We've had three of their family pop up ones over the years and this is my first inflatable one. I love how easy they are.

DrDoolittle

Read above. I'm not here to sell just to advise.

Dear OP....you're not really selling this to me...."poor reviews" in your title ??? :/

DrDoolittle

Thanks for the heat. Edited title to reflect consensus on poor reviews

Yup absolutely recommend the Decathlon inflatable tents. I got the 2 man version for £50 from the clearance section when they discontinued it and it is absolutely fantastic. Well made, super easy to put up and take down and showing no signs of wear after the first 8 or so trips.

foolsgold99

Ideal, that’s the kind of info I was after. Thanks a lot for that (y) 🏼

pswils

I have a pop top on mine too. I sikaflexed c channel on to the body just outboard of the gutter but it’s hidden when the top is down. Only took about an hour to do and much cheaper than a reimo or equivalent rail.

foolsgold99

Thanks, but I have a pop up roof. Looks like kador strip only option but not sure I can be bothered with the faff.

RobynSellers

You can often just use long straps that go from the top of the awning all the way over the van to the other side and then peg down that side if you don’t have a rail.

Was £800. Now £300 with further 10% off using code. TENTS10 Good sized tent with good reviews. One of the best priced inflatables I could find.
rolstherat

Just used this for 2 nights with rain. Its pretty good. As discussed not worth the rrp. But worth £300.fitsrctinecusung an air tent and went up super quick. The only gripe is the hose attachment does not stay in the airbean valve. Also the third double room is a funny shape and not sure you'd get a double airbed in it. Its rrp is the sane as the berghaus equivalent and that looks a nice tent, the least you could get for that for recently was £440, but I got this one for £325 in July so happy with that. 2 year guarantee too

pemcl

Pity it's gone from the website. Voted hot for price.

Bozzie1982

Really good first tent. So easy to put up and loads of space. Easily fit 4 in and a dog !

wadz03

I've got this, used with the four of us and it's a decent size. Plenty of space, super easy to put up and pack away, usual hooks and storage. Definitely a good buy.

qwertychris

See to have now disappeared from website? Reserved one last night, however wanted to read the reviews this morning. Is this a good first tent for a family of four for a couple of weekends each year? All the other air tents seem quite pricey. Thanks.

So many deals being reposted and no mod is paying attention due to this flamedeer hunting.
