They still don't list it (at last check) on their note 7's on site.

According to eglobal, this is the global, or international as they call it.

is this the Global version @MrSwitch or is that out end of the month (iv'e read somehwre)

Not a bad price for the specs, that biggg battery does it for me, pay in euros at final stage of checkout to get this for the best price (using a foreign exchange card) at £226 … Read more

Isn’t the camera on this already amazing? Why did you need the google camera app

It isn't available from the Play store. You can download the .APK file from places like XDA Developers (who port it from the Pixels to work on things like the Mi 9). Xiaomi have actually made a big push to make their phones compatible with the camera API's that are needed for things like Google Camera to work. So you don't need to do anything aside from download the APK and install it. It can make a really big difference to photos - especially in night mode. But it is basically incompatible with mediatek processors (Pixels are Snapdragon) https://forum.xda-developers.com/Mi-9/themes/xiaomi-mi9-googlecam-port-t3910034/amp/

Didn't even know it was launching tomorrow at that price

Well I'm glad I am the first (y) I'm a Mi fan I live near the Mi UK store but it is 20 Euros less as a short term introductory offer. Not sure why Amazon.fr has not got this price, really hope UK has this soon at the intro price point. I used to import everything Xiaomi but sometimes now because of exchange rate it doesn't cost much more to buy with EU / UK warranty. Thats if they even bother to release the products in Europe which not everything has been.

That is like the weirdest question I have ever had in one of my threads!

Yes if it's UK priority line or something like that it's usually Yodel I've had 6-12 days typically. I know Amazon Spain will have them 30th I think so Monday is a possibility but price is probably £250+

Yeah that's what it says on gsmarena for each model.

10 to 15 days for delivery? Is this the norm for Gearbest? It will be on Amazon UK quicker with delivery no?

I have read the Pro has NFC, but the standard Note 8 doesn't

After seeing my wife's Note 7 I think I'll go for one of these when I change my phone again. I still have 10 months to go on my contract.

There's a version that's just been released on the Xiaomi Spanish site which looks like it has the same bands as the UK, €229. I'm not sure about delivery costs/possibilities though. The likes of banggood now have the global version for pre order as well

I can tell you that my Xiaomi Note 5 does not work on EE wifi calling which I assume is the same or BT - the phone can have a code entered to enable wifi calling and when I enabled the feature I got a text from EE saying wifi calling was now active on my account but it doesn't actually work. I've not seem many Xiaomi phones listed as working on EE / BT

They are quite similar, p30 the looker of the two, P20 pro with the lesser processor but better battery. Me, I'd go p30 for the newer more efficient processor

@MrSwitch the P20 pro or P30. O2 offering me the P30 for £252 but if I can push the p20 pro for £177 is that the better deal?

That's my concern too. 800Mhz is not listed on their web page and as far as I can tell from scanning other Chinese sellers pages, the Note 8 Pro has not been released yet in a full Global Version, thus no B20 as yet. I'll wait for a while as both my SIM card providers provide LTE on B20. Great post though for those who don't need that.

Seems a decent price, no band 20,and possible stock issues, possible long waits, not the best customer service etc. Etc. Etc. Thanks to @cbates60 for the heads up (y) Helio… Read more

He should...we make/destroy reputations, and for free

CPU looks decent and the source code is released so the modders would be happy. Am very interested to see how the camera performs, allegedly in 64mp mode it negates the requirement for optical zoom but I'm not convinced. Adding NFC is such a boost but for me LCD screen is probably the deal breaker.

I wonder if Mediatek have finally cracked it with this CPU.

I would go for 9T Pro with Snapdragon 855 .

They would know Mr switch all the sales he puts their way ;)
