It's early, it's Sunday, I was bored and trying to subscribe to things
I initially tried the usual method of starting a VPN and going to Napster to see if I could subscribe via Argentina. I had to manually change the "GB" to "AR" in the URL to initially get the plan prices up, but when I clicked the family plan and clicked the button to continue, the whole site defaulted to Canada with "CA" in the URL and all of the prices being in Canadian dollars.
I then remembered that I've got a subscription to Control-D and how that uses DNS settings to 'spoof' your location rather than a VPN so I switched on the Napster option and configured my Opera browser according to their DNS settings.
I set Napster to fully divert to Argentina and went back to the site and it worked. Correctly showed the family plan prices and when I clicked the 'Subscribe' button, it went to the payment screen which showed the family plan price of $149 ARS a month.
I used my Chase bank card details and everything went through fine. Confirmation I'm on a 30 day free trial then I will be charged $149 ARS a month which converts to 98p.
I've tried the Windows desktop app and the iOS app with the login details and everything works fine. The Windows app does appear to be a bit sluggish to be fair, but the iOS app works fine so far.
It's obviously not as comprehensive as Spotify and Tidal but for 98p, it might be a useful spare for someone.
I'm off to try the 'Control D Method' for Deezer now
