I'm looking to go away on my own for a week's holiday to the coast - around 16 July. Want to get a deal as cheap as possible (really can only afford £300) but hard to find anything affordable when you add the single occupancy supplement and the peak season. Have been considering Turkey, Portugal, Greek islands and Spain but the cheapest I've found is flying from Birmingham, £480 staying B&B basis in a hotel in Turkey - with Jet2. Also includes transfers and baggage. That's with a solo £30 discount.
Would like to explore the local area, visiting tourist attractions, historical sites (if any) or walking in the countryside.
Have considered the UK as an alternative but with accommodation higher in many hotels and train travel, it all works out more expensive than going abroad.
Are there any sites or destinations I should think about? Thanks for any suggestions.

I used to get some bargains at teletext holidats too.
G'luck.
They have dalaman, turkey on 17th b&b from Gatwick for £411
You can alternatively package a holiday through the site (selecting a hotel and flights) but I've found that prices are around £500.
