Recommendations for a alternative to Ring doorbell

Posted 13th Jul 2023
Hi, I’m looking for a cheaper alternative to a ring door bell, something that’s easy to fit, I don’t need a subscription. If anyone has one that they have installed and happy with that would be appreciated. Thank you

Finally ditched by Ring doorbell, as was close to giving up and gone with the Blink doorbell.

Grabbed it on a Prime Day Deal on here, as got an extra 10% off, which i set up yesterday and so far, so good. If you have the indoor cam, you can also sync it with the doorbell to become a chime.

Yet to do this, but i will try it later and feedback (If interested)

As others say, a sync module is key if don't want to pay a subscription but depends on what you want out of it.

Take a look here amazon.co.uk/b?i…031 (edited)

We have an Eufy Solo Cam E40 often on offer for less than £70 , Paid £65. - amazon.co.uk/Euf…c=1
It's not a door bell as such but does alert you when someone is at the door and you can speak to them if you wish. Shows recordings via an app on your phone . Simple to install , just requires charging every 10 to 12 weeks and connection to your WiFi network. I like to check on what the delivery drivers are up to when I'm away from home

That’s different, I shall look into this, I think because it needs to be positioned quite high, it may be a bit of a faff to keep taking the battery off to recharging it.

Eufy. Now has twin camera doorbell for normal and low views, ideal if you are putting the bell up high because you will not miss out on the lower view.

Im replacing the Eufy (single camera version) with a Ring one now. The Eufy one is utterly useless, the lag on the notifications is dreadful. I get the notification 1 minute or so after the delivery man has driven off.
