Tidal Argentina

Posted 27th Sep 2023
Received an email this morning with the following:

Starting on your next billing date of 09/29/2023, your HiFi Plus Family subscription will automatically renew at the new monthly price of $890.00. We're making this change to our HiFi Plus Family subscription, so we can continue bringing new features to music lovers and fans like you and to continue paying artists the best streaming rates, despite increased licensing costs. You can modify or cancel your subscription at the address: account.tidal.com.

I currently pay around £0.50, which is increasing to £2.10. Let's hope my Tidal continues working

Just so you're aware your next payment will fail if they even attempt it and the account will get closed. All payment methods now need to originate from an Argentinian bank.

Hi, when I try to do this via a Nigerian VPN I just get a pink message saying Tidal isn't available in my country yet. This is on the account signup page, before I even get to the card details. Am I doing something wrong?

Try a different VPN, others reported that it worked when they changed. (edited)

Cancelled also today, has anyone tried again or as mentioned must it be an Argentinian bank?
    SnoopZ's avatar
It MUST be from an Argentinian bank, basically we're all moving over to Columbia or Nigeria, Columbia is slightly cheaper though.

Love how nobody reads anything on here and thinks they're the first with things

Was rather shocked at $890 but then realised this is Argentina dollars.

Which as you say is only £2.10

Their currency is the ‘peso’ though the symbol is $

Damn mine has been cancelled today. What are people moving too or has the vpn train finished now

Tidal Nigeria, although the pricing has been confirmed to be in US $ so not as cheap as originally thought. Personally I'm using a 4 month Amazon Music Unlimited trial and may just stick with that to avoid all the faffing about.

Similar thing here. They were due to take payment 2 days ago from my Revolut account, but haven't. So I guess I'll also be getting the goodbye email shortly.

Has anyone had any luck with Tidal Nigeria, specifically with accepting their card? (edited)
    SnoopZ's avatar
I've not tried it because of my 4 month Amazon trial but reading the Nigeria thread suggests using Revolut just like Argentina is a doddle. (edited)

So this doesn't work anymore ay? What to do now? No I am not moving to argentina or anywhere else.

Why don't you want to move to Nigeria or Columbia, the whole process takes 5mins to do?
